actually I think Luke and Leia should've hooked up. they literally just kissed once? fuck off. they should've been having sex for at least a month before they invited Han in for a threesome and eventually Luke decided that sorta relationship wasn't what he wanted (and he prob realised he's gay too) and he stepped aside and remained Leia's (and Han's) friend. but only after they'd been hooking up casually for a while. like definitely at least three or four months.

Dark side Luke/Leia?

Help, after a discussion with @shadowssuitme I’m now trying to think of theoretical situations in which both Luke and Leia turn to the dark side together, that don’t involve them having basically been raised as Sith/by Vader. 

Here are what I’ve thought about so far. I’d love to hear some ideas from you guys.

1.)  Leia is on her deathbed and Luke basically goes berserk and kills a bunch of people to give her their life force. He can’t come back from that sort of dark side use, and after a lot of internal angst I could see a situation where Leia would join him. I don’t see them ruling the galaxy together with an iron fist, but I could see them developing really unhealthy tenancies, especially if Luke has to continually kill to keep Leia alive or something. (Though, as with the one I’m going to detail below, I feel like saving her would also potentially bring him back...)

2.) Another potential is that Luke thinks Leia has been killed and goes on a revenge rampage and turns to the dark side because of his despair/no one to stop him, only to later discover that she’s still alive and has been hidden/Force-blocked or whatever to make him think she was dead.  But I feel like finding her alive again would bring him back to the light side, so I’m not sure it’d work.

3.) Leia loses Ben and that turns her to the dark side. Probably this wouldn’t work as a Kylo Ren thing. It’d have to be a good, probably young Ben, and it’d have to be in a completely horrible way. I think this is a hard sell because she’s already been through so much and never even shown any cracks of turning, but I think I could see losing Ben in the perfect storm of things being enough to push her over. I personally think in this situation that Luke would be able to bring her back, but if that’s not possible I suppose I could potentially see him turning to the dark side to protect her/support her.

All three of these scenarios, and similar ones I’ve devised, all tend to feel a bit cheap though, or require a situation where one of them couldn’t bring the other back to the light.  I think it could very interesting to explore an alternate universe where they both fall to the dark side together (or separately so long as the end result is them both there), and also exploring how Han would behave/react to that situation. Han, by his very nature of not being Force-sensitive, can never turn to the dark side. He can be evil, of course, but he cannot lose himself in the way that people who turn to the dark side seem to lose themselves. So it would be interesting to see if he alone could bring them back, and if not, if he could still survive with them as dark side users.

I’m mostly approaching this with a Luke/Leia/Han perspective, but even without that angle it’d be an interesting thought.

I know it’s a horrible thought, but can any of you come up situations where both Luke and Leia could fall to the dark side and not be in a position to redeem each other? I kind of love the idea of a Luke/Leia story where they say, “Fuck societal norms” and are dark side, are openly in love with each other regardless of people who oppose incest or the idea of Vader’s children having children together, and whose dark side actions tend to be more along the lines up, “Fuck the Republic, fuck your rules, fuck your conventions and trade contracts and rules of engagement, there are slaves being tortured on these planets and we’re going to kill anyone who opposes us from saving them no matter what side you’re on.”  But I’m just not sure how you’d get them there.

But what if Han walks in on Luke and Leia making out, while he's with Leia. They haven't had the "exclusive" talk yet, but he didn't think he'd have to worry about her being with anyone else. Especially not her brother. And as he tries to run off, they stop him amd explain that they both like him and were planning on asking to both be with him, but wanted to figure out if they wanted to just share him, or also be together.

I mean, to be fair,you shouldn’t really need to have an “exclusive” talk with a partner but ratherhave a “non-exclusive” talk should you want it to be non-exclusive, but anyway.

So if Han does likethe both of them the sight of Leia and Luke kissing is probably… conflictingemotionally for him. Because on one hand he sort of fears losing Leia to Luke.However on the other hand this is either a fantasy he never thought he’d get tosee come to life or a new fantasy to explore when he’s alone.

When the twins explainthe whole situation to him he’s very much relieved but also very much curiousas to what the twins decided in regards to if they are having a relationshipwith each other as well as sharing him. He’s trying to play it cool but hereally wants to know the answer!

Luke cries after Han and Leia tell him their engaged. To him it's the nail in the coffin that neither of them want him and he thinks he'll be alone forever. Than, they get get hitched and bring him as a witness, and after their married, they both kiss him. And Everything is a blur for Luke after that. He finds out he's pregnant with Ben soon after. They're happy. And later they have Rey. But than he, Ben, and Rey get an an accident while going to get a gift for Han or Leia. (1)

(2)Ben doesn’t remember Luke, and Rey is just. Gone. It takes months for Luke to get out of the hospital, and when he realizes that one of his kids doesn’t remember him and the other is gone, he runs. He blames himself. He spends time trying to look for Rey, but she was under three and he doubts she’ll remember him if he ever manages to find her. So he settles on a far off planet, wishing everything could be fixed. Maybe Anakin’s force ghost followed Rey, and couldn’t help Ben….            

So while Luke totallycries when he finds out Leia and Han are engaged he only does so in private. Asmuch as he thinks it’s proof that he is going to die alone because he can neverlove again he still does them love them and want them to be happy. He will pushhis own pain aside and smile and congratulate them, help them with the weddingorganisation and everything, despite the fact it hurts him. When they ask himto be witness he agrees, probably with a joking “as if I’d have it any otherway.” He will be happy for them even if it breaks him to do so.

When after the weddingthey make it clear that, well, he’s invited to the honeymoon, he’s a bitconfused but fairly happy to follow them into bed.

The pregnancy is asurprise and probably a minor freak out on Luke’s part because he’s just anextra on their marriage. They probably didn’t intend to have a child with him.He isn’t going to keep it secret from them though, but is emotionally preparinghimself to raise the child alone and not reveal their parentage to anyone else.Instead Leia and Han are ecstatic and thus Ben is born. A little while laterthey have Rey (although she’s probably a little more planned).

When Luke finds outwhat happened to his kids it hurts. A lot. TBH he probably leaves just as muchto find Rey as to “make it easier” on Ben. He doesn’t want Ben to have to dealwith some stranger (from his POV) that claims to be his mother and is around.No, it’s easier if he just leaves, and anyway, he does have to find hisdaughter.

After a while herealises he likely isn’t going to find her, and if he does she probably won’tremember him anyway either. He can’t go home though, can’t force himself backinto Ben’s life. So instead he finds somewhere else to settle, away from hisfamily and private in his grief over what happened to his children.

Luke surrogates for Han and Leia. And after Ben is born, they all want to have a relationship /together/ but no one will admit it to the others. At some point Luke and Han sleep together and Luke ends up pregnant with Rey, and Ben's just like. "everybody kiss! You all like eachother!"

So the pregnancy gives them the excuse to be cuddly. Luke moves in with Leia and Han (which means a combination between Leia’s apartment and the Falcon), and the three of them spend the entire pregnancy being close to each other. Han and Leia can justify spoiling Luke and being close to him in the fact that he is carrying their child; Luke can justify it in the fact that he is asking for things that are normally only allowed to be asked by people in a relationship because he is carrying their child. They basically are in a relationship the whole time because it’s so easy to justify everything.

Once Ben is born the excuse is gone. They will all go back to the way they were before the pregnancy. Problem is they’ve all now had a taste of what it would be like to be in a relationship together and have realised just how much they like it. Just how easy the three of them work and fit together. They all very much thing it’s their own problem (and you know there might be fallout with other people if they did get together) - so they pretend they are totally fine (”grateful in fact”) to go back to the way things used to be.

Cue horrible tension between them for YEARS that breaks one day while Han and Luke meet up out doing their things in the galaxy (Luke researching Jedi stuff/starting Jedi school; Han doing whatever it is Han does now) and after a series of events that lead to them being shot at and escaping but only just end with them fucking against the wall of the falcon. Thus Rey is conceived.

They both feel super guilty but tell Leia and she accepts their apologies and they all think it was one big mistake created by extreme emotions on Han + Luke’s part. Despite the fact that they all also very much wanting to be in a relationship with each other.

It’s different than with Ben because the justification is less there. Like they all want to go back to how it was with Ben but it’s harder to justify for all but Han (Luke feels super guilty the he slept with his sister’s lover; Leia knows it’s not her child). Ben meanwhile is suffering. He’s just old enough to understand what the tension means but also probably still young enough to think kissing is gross. That doesn’t matter, because he’ll happily deal with them kissing in order to have to stop dealing with the awkward tension between what is basically his three parents (he probably hasn’t been told that Luke carried him yet but still, Luke’s parent #3 in his life). Please, just save us all the horror. He complains to Uncle Chewie. Uncle Chewie agrees but says they have to work it out by themselves. Ben decides that’s dumb but doesn’t really want to encourage his parents to kiss (because, ew, gross) so instead he is just silently suffering as the three awkwardly dance around each other (he feels sorry for his baby sibling already - although at least he won’t be the only one suffering once they are born).
