The summer after the war was hard-- it felt in a lot of ways like none of them were ready to graduate, the events of the last year making them grow up sooner than they should have had to. But grow up they did and that summer she was taken on as an apprentice healer at the hospital, where she often ran into Neville visiting his parents. They got to talking and soon talking at work lead to getting a drink when she got off and then finally him asking her on a date.

Before she knew it a year had passed and she sat in his flat with her feet propped up on his lap, nursing a mug of tea after a very, very long shift. "If I even hear the word jinx for the rest of the weekend, I'm rioting" Hannah grumbeled.

It was always odd, meeting another wolf and even odder when it wasn't a beta or an omega like herself. In truth she did not know how to handle the overwhelming smell that filled her nose when the bar door opened. Hannah was a healer by trade, but she had taken over the three broomsticks from her mother when she passed and tonight she was behind the bar as her usual bartender called in sick. Glass colored eyes followed the man as he walked further into the mostly empty bar. "Can I get you anything?" The omega asked, all be it a bit hesitantly.

“You know-- it’s pretty slow for a Thursday” Hannah mused as she leaned against the bar, the omega had already caught up on the dishes, done the next days prep and had just served the two patrons who were off in a corner booth talking. “Is something going on with the pack tonight?”

  “Statically speaking one in five witches and wizards will become a serial killer, but less than one percent give or take of that is made up of Slytherins. Ironically it’s typically ones who were overlooked by all magical schools or Ravenclaws” Hanna spoke as she worked on the pot of soil in front of her. She quite enjoyed Herbology, though she was a bit mad at having to take it for the eighth time, but after the war-- there was no way to salvage what had been the clusterfuck of their seventh year. So instead she sat next to Draco Malfoy for what felt like the hundredth and yet oddly the first time, working on a pair assigned project.    “Pass me the trowel?” They were planting Venomous Tentacula and were expected to grow it into it’s mature stage as well as keep it alive for their midterm grade. She couldn’t expect to become a healer if she failed at doing this simple task, now could she?

"So long as you understand it's your job to keep me happy and comfortable" Hannah snorted in reply as she curled back up on the couch, tucking her legs under her as she waited for her tea to cool. "Any requests, I need to go shopping in the morning anyways."

It was always a good day when they didn't have to break up a fight, but of course no sooner had she said that and gotten her paper out so they could start on their 'Care for magic creatures' project, did she hear arguing across the library. It would seem a Hufflepuff third year was fighting with her boyfriend-- who was in Slytherin. With a soft sigh she looked at Rhaegar "do you want to take this one, or should I?" Then she heard the heavy slap and another groan left her lips, she noted the girl holding her cheek "both is is, I'll take the bird if you get the bloke."

The blonde pushed herself to her feet and started towards the fighting couple, drawing her wand and praying she would not need it. Bright blue eyes studying them before she called out for the girl to come with her, already planning on taking just separating them so they could calm down. She prayed he was having better luck because the girl was hysterical, crying and panicking, she had to promise her she wasn't in trouble and send her back to the common room with a bisect from the tin she kept in her robe. When she returned to the other prefect she sank into her seat, offering him one of the cookies "any clue what set that about? All I got out of her were a lot of tears."

"I couldn't have said it better myself-- but what brought this on?" Hannah paused in what she was doing, wiping down tables in the now closed bar. Em had left an hour ago with Alona to see her home and all that was left was the cleaning which fell to her and Aiden this time. Still when he spoke she smiled, warm and kind-- a smile she only had for him as she took a step closer. The blonde could honestly say she had never felt like this about anyone, least of all an alpha before-- he was different though, she saw him with his pack and knew he was good.
