The woman pulled the door open, shoving a spoonful of cereal in her mouth as she looked up and saw the room full of boys being loud, laughing with each other. They all turned back to look at her, eyes widened.
“Sorry, I think I walked into the wrong classroom.” She tried her best to sneak back out until they stopped her from leaving.
“This is the only class in session today.” Jeonghan spoke up, causing Rosie to purse her lips as she dragged her feet to sit at the desk that was left. She bowed her head towards Seungcheol, who pointed to her cup of cereal.
“I woke up late, but it’s bad to skip breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” She shoved another spoonful into her mouth. They conversed around the room until Chan frantically rushed out of the classroom.
“Is he okay?” She whispered to the leader.
The teacher entered the classroom nonchalantly with a folder clutched to his chest. Rosie straightened her back as he slammed his hand on the podium. “Quiet.”
“I am your homeroom teacher, Lee Sooneung.” The students greeted him warmly even with his stern tone.
“Since it's our first day, I'll call attendance.”
“But Chan’s in the bathroom.”
“Just let him be. He'll get here soon enough.”
The teacher started calling attendance, stopping at Seungkwan to point out him sipping on his drink. “Are you eating in my classroom?”
He tensed his shoulders, afraid to speak up. “But Mr. Lee, she’s eating too.”
The boy pointed to the back of the classroom to Rosie who was minding her own business, eating her breakfast. Her eyes widened as everyone looked at her.
“She’s fine. Hurry and finish your drink or you’ll be getting detention.”
“And number 14, Kim Jangmi.” The teacher called out her name before she raised her hand.
“Here.” She spoke, covering her mouth that was full of food.
Going in order again, the students took the stand to introduce themselves.
The teacher shushed the students as he went out looking for the missing classmate. Chan finally returned, tripping over himself.
“You need to introduce yourself.” Jeonghan told the boy as he started rushing to the stand.
Rosie walked to the front of the class, putting her hands against the wood. “Hello, I am Kim Jangmi. I am from Canada. Do not copy from my homework unless you want a bad grade. Thank you.” She bowed her head before going back to sit at her desk.
“What’s your best subject?” Mingyu turned around in his seat, looking back at her.
She thought for a good second, flattening her lips before answering. “Math.”
Her face went blank, trying to do mental math in her head. “16?”
Mingyu slammed his face against the desk.
Q: How do you like the school so far?
“I like it a lot. The teacher is cool and let’s me eat my breakfast. He too knows that breakfast is important. I think it is going to be a good year.”
Q: Who would you like to be seated next to?
"I wouldn’t mind sitting next to Seungkwan. But I feel like he would get annoying quickly, so I’ll choose Hansol.”
Rosie got a star for the dalgona game. Nearly broke her star so she just started licking it to be safe.
Rosie and Seungkwan failed the table tennis.
Rosie nearly grabbing Joshua by the throat when he was cheating with Dino.
Lots of boosie moments since they were the losers.
