She slammed her shot glass down on the table, leaning back in her seat as she swallowed the soju. She stretched her limbs out, letting out a loud sigh as her members paid no mind to her shenanigans.
Her eyelids were heavy, a faint smile on her face as she felt herself swaying. Chan looked over at her, putting his hand on her shoulder.
“Jangmi, really. You should stop drinking.” He pushed her hair behind her ear, leaning forward to see her face.
“I’m fine. Chillax,” She chuckled, pinching his cheeks between her fingers. “I do have to use the bathroom though.”
She was trapped between Chan and Seungkwan. Her boyfriend moved his legs aside to let her through. She was a bit wobbly, placing her hand on the table and the other on his shoulder as she scooted past him.
Her foot got stuck in the table's legs, causing her to trip and her cheek hitting the corner of the table. Chan tried his best to catch her on time, but she was already on the floor.
The members all grew quiet, the room settling down so only she could be heard. She was too drunk to acknowledge the severity of the situation, so she started laughing hysterically as she rolled onto her back. Minghao and Chan quickly got out of their seats, kneeling beside her and helping her to sit up.
“Are you okay?” Minghao’s eyes were huge, his voice laced with concern.
“I’m fine!” She whined, the throbbing sensation starting to come to her. “Now can I please go to the bathroom!”
Chan pulled her to her feet by her hands, locking his arm with hers as he supported her. “I’m taking you. You’re way too drunk.”
“I’m perfectly capable of taking myself to the toilet.” She argued with him playfully, walking with him slowly as they tried to find the bathroom.
“I’m sure you are.” He rolled his eyes, finally reaching the women’s bathroom.
“Hey woah, see the sign?” She pointed to it, taking his arms off of her and pushing the door open with her back.
He pursed his lips, crossing his arms as she winked at him. “Please don’t break your neck.”
“I’ll try not to.” She saluted him, taking the next few minutes to do her business. He did his best to wait patiently, standing up straight when seeing her open the door.
He furrowed his eyebrows, putting his fist against his mouth when getting a good look at her. Her cheek was getting more red each minute and starting to swell.
“Oh my-“ He spoke under his breath, reaching to gently touch her cheek. She squinted, pulling away immediately when feeling the sting.
“Ow!” She inhaled sharply. “Paws off.”
“Your cheek is swollen.” He could feel her pain just by looking at her. “I think it’s time to go home.”
She pouted, putting her hands on his chest. “But I don’t wanna go home yet. We’re having fun!”
He slipped his arm around her, walking them back to where the members were. He gathered her things in his hands, telling them that they would turn in early.
“Jangmi really is something.” The leader sighed, downing a shot while looking at the two.
The lighting in the room wasn’t the best, hiding her red cheek perfectly. It was only visible because of the swelling.
Mingyu winced when seeing her cheek. He spoke loudly so she was able to hear him. “It looks bad. You need to put ice on that immediately when you get home.”
“I don’t even feel it-“ She poked her cheek with her finger, contradicting herself as she contorted her face in pain.
“You feel it now, don’t you?” Minghao sat back in his chair in disbelief. They all wondered if every meeting would result in a drunk Rosie.
“Are you gonna get drunk like this everytime?” Jeonghan crossed his arms, giving her a glare.
“No promises.” She hiccuped, smiling as Chan struggled to put her jacket on. She wanted to tease him, dodging his efforts to fit her arm into the sleeves.
“Seriously Jangmi. Help me out here.” He was getting irritated as she toyed more with him. He knew she was drunk and shouldn’t get angry with her, but it was hard dealing with her when she was this intoxicated.
Their goodbyes to the members were brief, wanting to get home as quickly as possible so he could focus on sobering her up.
Chan had an arm around her waist to support her, her legs wobbly as she tried kissing his cheek. It felt like he was carrying dead weight. He pushed their front door open, setting her things down before shutting the door.
“You are killing me.” He picked her up by her bum, wrapping her legs around his waist to make it easier for him.
“But you love me anyway.” She hugged him, kissing his neck as he walked to their bedroom. He set her down on the mattress, taking the bed apart so she could get comfy.
“Stay.” He pointed to her, heading for the kitchen to get her some water. He also grabbed the trash can and an ice pack while he was at it. When he came back, she was already rummaging through his closet, looking for something to change into.
“Can I help you with that?” He pressed his hand against the wall, watching her shake her head at several of his shirts.
“No, I am a perfectly capable, strong, independent woman.” She gave him a side eye, finally finding his ‘tease me’ hoodie that she had gifted to him.
She pulled her shirt over her head, Chan quickly turning around to give her some privacy. She got rid of her pants too, leaving her in nothing but her panties and his hoodie.
“Done.” She skipped to the bed, launching herself onto the mattress and scooting up so her head pressed against the pillow.
He was a bit hesitant, grabbing the water bottle and giving it to her. “Drink some of this.”
“What’s in it for me?” She huffed, pouting her lips as he let out a loud, long sigh.
“Just drink it. You’ll be thanking me in the morning.” He handed her the tiny trash can to keep by her side of the bed, reaching to grab the ice pack he had brought.
He pressed the ice pack to her cheek carefully, not applying too much pressure. He inhaled through his teeth as she pulled away from him due to the pain. “Sorry.”
He slouched his shoulders, letting out a big sigh as he looked at her. Even though he was annoyed with her and her drunk antics, he couldn’t stay mad for too long.
“What am I going to do with you?”
She put her hands on his legs, closing the distance between them. “Love me, feed me,” She kissed parts of his face between every word. “Never leave me.”
Her cheek brushed against his briefly, feeling the aching return. She took the ice pack from him, putting it to her cheek and continuing to smother him in kisses.
“If you keep getting shitfaced like this, I may start considering it.” His tone was serious, but she always knew when he was telling a lie. It was so obvious to her after being together for so long.
“You won’t. You’re stuck with me. For life.” She whispered against his neck, kissing him one more time before he pulled her away. A shiver traveled down his spine once her ice pack came in contact with his collarbone.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” He mumbled under his breath. “Keep that ice on. I’m gonna go
get ready for bed.”
She whined, yanking on his arm and hoping to win him over with her puppy eyes. “Come on! At least play with me for a little bit!”
“Not a chance.” He grabbed her wrist, putting it on her lap and covering her with the blankets. “What you should be doing is drinking some of that water. I won’t ask again. So drink up or I’m not holding your hair back when you start puking.”
Even though her mind was hazy, the mention of the word ‘puke’ always set her back into place. It was always such an unpretty sight whenever she would throw up, especially in front of Chan. She quickly grabbed the water bottle with one hand, keeping the ice pack on her cheek as she started chugging the liquid.

🍒: why are you switching between languages like that?
🍚: someone give her a KO
mingyu was conveniently filming a video and managed to get rosie hitting her cheek on the corner of the table. he posted it shortly after hoshi posted that one video of their meeting. her cheek is also starting to bruise 🫣
“Are we seriously done with the skits?” DK stretched his arms over the table, tapping the side of the soju bottle.
Rosie looked between him and Dino, pursing her lips to keep herself from laughing. She stood up out of nowhere, slamming her palm down on the table. The boys were taken off guard, flinching as she was getting into the acting mood.
Her limbs were like jello, whining before sitting down again and leaning on her boyfriend. He widened his eyes, awkwardly patting the side of her head.
“Why doesn’t Dino like me?” She started forcing tears out of her eyes, practically hanging onto him. DK and Minghao held onto each other, trying not to laugh.
“Look at how cute he is!” She pinched his cheeks between her fingers, Dino giggling nervously. “I just wanna squeeze you and never let you.” She almost fell out of her own chair trying to hug him.
“You’re never like this when you’re drunk.” Dino shook his head, growing cautious in front of the cameras.
“She’s just cute and affectionate. She’s not overbearing like this.” Minghao snickered at DK, the two men applauding her performance.
“It’s just like it’s from a drama.” The eldest clapped his hands together as there were stars in his eyes.
“I tried.” Rosie slouched her shoulders, falling back into her seat and sighing.
🤔 If they put her on trial for it then they'd have to include Hoshi for every time he cries while drunk lol. I feel like if she did the letter of apology it would end up being like an apology over not being sorry about it 😂
hoshi and rosie boutta serve life in gose prison.
“i would like to apologize for myungho bringing alcohol to the meeting. i should have just let it sit there and take a shot of water when everyone wanted to toast. again, that’s my fault. and i’m sorry”
rosie’s relationships with seventeen; performance team
― WEN JUNHUI
By the time Jun joined Pledis, Rosie was already breaking out of her shell and could actually talk to people without any trouble. Even with their age difference, she thought of him as her friend almost immediately. It was interesting to learn about his culture and all that he went through to get to Korea. He always cooked her some of his favorite foods from back home. Even though she wasn’t the best at Korean, she tried her best to help Jun and struggle with him together. As the debut date got closer, she was practicing with the current members of the performance team a lot. They spent a lot of time preparing and got to know each other a lot better during the stressful time. Jun took note of all her mannerisms and what bothered her most. Rosie let him confide in her while she was still a trainee and the boys debuted. She was always there to listen to Jun.
Rosie likes to be mood makers with most of the group, Jun especially. He’s like her cool uncle that everyone loves. No one knows why, but they always give each other high fives. It could be the most inappropriate times or they just achieved something together, those two will give each other high fives. She is such a hype woman. She supports his solo releases like her life depended on it. No matter what they were doing, Rosie always managed to sneak in a little promotion for Jun. There was one time Rosie threw a water bottle at Jun thinking he was going to catch it, but instead it hit him in the face and she felt so bad afterwards. She always goes along with whatever he’s doing or scheming. If it’s coming from Jun, she 100% supports it.
― KWON SOONYOUNG
They hit it off instantly. There is never a dull moment between these two. It was often hard for them to focus during practice because they were always trying to make each other laugh. They usually got scolded a lot for being too noisy. People always questioned whether they would fit being in a unit together since they were so close and crazy. They lost sort of that fun part of being friends when debut came closer. Soonyoung became serious once he debuted and they didn’t get out of control like they used to. Rosie was also focused on becoming her best while waiting to debut. Once she did, they went back to being the crazy best friends that not even Seungcheol or staff could control. They had lots of fun together and with the group now that they weren’t separated.
Even though Soonyoung is the official leader for the performance team, Rosie finds herself looking out for him more. He is hard on himself which makes her sad, but she’s always there to reassure him that he is doing great and did the best he could. They have weird dance battles in the waiting rooms at music shows. You can always find Rosie being the loudest when she’s with Soonyoung. She is a supporter of the tiger agenda, even though it’s questionable at times. She’s bought him a bunch of tiger themed plushies, as well as zoo tickets where they went to see tigers together. He never fails to put a smile on her face and make her laugh, including her ugly laugh where she snorts. Sometimes her eyes just bulge out of her head when he’s rowdy on shows. Soonyoung also sulks when he thinks he did something wrong to upset her, causing Rosie to soften up and reassure him that everything is fine. Chaotic besties for sure.
― XU MINGHAO
Rosie thought Minghao didn’t like her at first, but it was because of the language barrier. Sometimes it would take her almost an hour to get her point across and to help him understand her better. It was difficult for them to get to know each other when he joined Pledis. He was still studying Korean and practice took up most of their time. They would get brief conversations before and after practice and they relied on that to get along well. She really admires him though, as a person and as her fellow member. He trained shorter than everyone else but still conveys so much talent that is hard for her to fathom. They also got into a lot of misunderstandings but resolved things quickly because he didn’t want tension to be there when they were busy enough.
She adores him. Even after debut, she wanted to look after him like a little brother. Even when she wasn’t in the best of moods, she still supported him in everything. Minghao has his moments where he can be loud, but for the most part, Rosie can be calm and laid back around him. She doesn’t try to be loud and obnoxious with him. He makes sure she’s taken care, checking up on her and filling her plate first. She learns a lot from him and takes notes when he dances. He helps make step sequences easier for her and eases her mind when she thinks she’s doing bad. They can have fun and get a couple laughs out of it without going too overboard. You can see her stealing his scarves and jewelry when she doesn’t know what else to wear. She also feels really empty when the china line leaves for other promotions. And she never stopped singing Side By Side for months.
― LEE CHAN
These two literally grew up together. Rosie became a trainee around the same time as Chan, so they first met each other at the practice room. They soon discovered that they went to the same school and had several classes together, even being seated next to each other. It was really fate that they would become best friends. The members tend to go easier on her and tease Chan more. During the years they trained together, she was closest to him. She would always text him at night telling him how cool he was on stage. He would always lend her answers on homework when her brain was fried from practice. They were each other’s main support system when things got tough, and they still are. Rosie always stuck by his side in any situation. Most times he doesn’t feel older than her because she’s always teasing him.
Carats deemed them the most cute pairing, noticing how they always sat next to each other in interviews or stood by each other’s side. Rosie always wanted to be on his team and be in the special units with him. She was never afraid to break down in front of him or show him her vulnerable patches. Chan is quite a cuddle buddy so he’s always grabbing onto her when he feels attacked or rests his head on her shoulder when he’s tired. One time when they were in the states, they may have strayed too far from the boys and got lost in the city. It was quite an adventure. She always laughs at his jokes whether they’re funny or not. Supports him in everything he does and is waiting for the day he invites her to a danceology with him. They bicker a lot on shows but it doesn’t mean anything, sometimes it’s just for entertainment. She’s quite rough with him, slinging her arm around his neck or slapping his chest when he says something hostile. They’re such besties and mean a lot to each other.
