It honestly makes so much sense to learn that you had a hand in parasite knight. I’ve mentioned this to vel before in an ask but it’s my favorite vld fic I’ve read, maybe my favorite fix ever. I love and read almost everything you and vel write and I can totally see what happened there. Just felt conpelled to comment hqhaha

But to clarify, I didn’t come up with anything in Parasite Knight - it just happened that the fic was already the top three things I wanted from a Shiro-centric fic, lol.  The actual fic I ended up getting was Silence is Golden, which I also love.

I just wanted to be clear that the genius is all Velkyn’s, lol.  I can’t take credit for anything.  I just happened to hit the nail on the head with my first three prompts.

After the big battle and everything is over, kinkade helps calm an overwhelmed and relieved Griffen. The sit along for hours afterwards, kinkade just holding James in his lap and being a rock to support him. Idk James is so over the top sometimes and I just imagine him being very naturally emotional. :')

yesssssss! Kinkade is just a wonderful listener. he won’t interrupt, but nod and comfort james.

I also hc that James has a somewhat similar temperament to Keith and Kinkade has a certain effect on James that Shiro has with keith that helps them calm down.

I read all of Don't Let's Start verse but I never picked up that one of them has white hair? Granted I binged them at four am but how did that happen? (if you don't mind me asking)

Ryou dyed it at the end of Over and Overture, before Shiro got back.  It was initially a burst of ‘I’m my own person, I’m Ryou now’ rebellion, and now he keeps it up because he likes it and it makes them easier to keep apart.

It’s mentioned once in a while, but most prominently when he gets the armor from Shiro, where he chooses white armor to ‘match the hair’.

Which, FYI, proves that neither of them have any taste at all

Let’s see... I posted the first fic July 7th and I had been watching for a lil while around then.  Probably like, the last week or two of June? Pretty early on!  The fandom was still just being established then.
