confessions of a girl

i've realized how much i don't want a relationship. i complain about it all the time, but recently i have had time to reflect on myself and my life. i don't want to have to answer to anyone. i don't want to be someone's only value in life. i don't want to be controlled. i enjoy being alone. i enjoy hanging out with my friends. i enjoy taking as long as i want when doing my homework or reading or interneting or sleeping. i like looking how i want. i like that i'm not skinny. i like that i don't have to fit a mold for anyone because the people i care about also care about me, no matter what. i like looking homeless some days. i don't like showering everyday. i don't like washing my hands all the time. i like being me and doing what i want and being gross and doing art and being happy. 

i like that i have a job. i like that i go to art school. i'm glad i have the friends that i have. i'm glad i have the family that i have.  i'm glad i am starting to figure out where i want to be as an artist. and i'm glad that hopefully i will not be sick anymore.

i still enjoy love stories, and hoping one day i could have that. but for now, i enjoy what i've got.
