Things I’m Leaving Behind In January

I’m really into clean slates and resolutions, so I decided that instead of waiting til New Years, I’d start fresh every month. To that end, here are three things that won’t be part of my life in February.

1. Random purchases. I was saving like 40% of my income from August through November, you guys. It was great. Dave Ramsey would have been proud. But then December and January came and I was like, MUST BUY ALL THE THINGS!!! Which is mostly fine, there were some holidays and fun trips with friends, and those are good things to spend money on, but I really want to have my emergency fund completed before I leave this job, so I need to buckle down again. 2. Surfing social media first thing in the morning. This is literally causing me so many problems. I’m a lark, so I get up at 5:30 most mornings no problem. But I never seem to make it to the gym or work on time because I can literally spend 45 minutes every morning on Twitter. I’m a disaster. And I always have time to check browse the web at work so there is no reason for it! I just need to procrastinate my procrastinating.

3. Bad laundry etiquette. I have to remember to set an alarm on my phone as soon as I put a load of laundry in, or else there is a 100% chance I will forget. I am the worst neighbor ever.
