more aspec bitching for february but the general aversion to microlabels is mega annoying because those are supposed to communicate to others your specific needs and experiences... i see this happening with demi labels (demisexual/demiromantic which arguably aren't even micro as far as a-spectrum labels go) where people shake their heads over "misidentifying a normal experience as queer". putting aside all arguments over whether it's "actually" queer to (checks notes) be completely asexual until the rare exception comes along, which is what that label describes and not just prudence over your choice of partner - but boy do people love to take every chance they can get to shove aspecs into the Actually Confused Straight/Allo People box don't they - are we really still going to go around pretending human sexuality isn't as fluid and undefinable and deeply personal as gender can be
