Cardinal- how does your muse recover from strong emotions? How do they recouperate?
I answered this ♠here♠ but I will happily do this for another character. Let's do Halcyon from @queens-guard-xiv
"I get them out and move the fuck on. What's the point in lingering on the past? It can't be changed, and the future doesn't exist. There is only the present, and what you fucking do with it."
Halcyon is a rolling stone and he does not stop for anything, including his own emotions. They flow as freely as he moves, and while he is not dominated by his emotions, they can be powerful. At large, he is typically in a good mood and hard to upset or put into a state of emotional turmoil but its not hard to tell the kind of mood he's in.
If he's upset, he broods and simmers. If he hurts, he displays himself powerfully. If he's angry, his voice will raise, he'll display his strength.
He's a very primal man, and a brute but he feels and does nothing to hide that fact. These emotions do not linger past their expiration date, however. He lets them flow through him, and then moves on with his life so long as the issue isn't prolonged. He is quick to try to solve an issue if he sees a solution or walk away from it if he can't.
Why allow any thing to have so much power over you, that when gone you can't leave them behind?
Strong emotions never linger long enough for him to have to recuperate though. They come and go, and in the stages inbetween, he's whole and hale and rarely needs 'recovery' time to compensate for emotional energy. A few hugs and a couple kisses from his fish wife do help him overcome his moods very quickly though, and that is generally all he needs.
Thank you and sorry for the delay!
