If someone copy youre drawins what you gonna do ?
Depends on how it’s done
a) If it’s being done for personal growth/practice/appreciation, then I’ll support it. This is perfectly natural and I think it’s great that people think anything I make would be good enough/inspiring enough to learn from.
b) If they’re claiming it as their own or trying to pass it off with minor edits for the sake of clout, then I will most likely do nothing. I don’t like witch hunts and I would hope that anything they try to copy will lack the spirit artists put into their work. I’d also hope that I would have enough reach and authenticity one day for it to be known that I’m the original artist. (Low key I’d be a little excited cause I have yet to be aware of an art thief and I have to take it as a personal attack that they don’t want to steal my shit)
c) If they’re profiting off of it, ie putting it on shirts, selling prints of, etc, then I would try to stop them and would hope that anyone that spots it would inform me and also attempt to stop it in a diplomatic way. I don’t think it’s productive to shout someone down. While I would miss any lost revenue, I do it more because I greatly dislike when people attempt to profit directly from stealing the works of others, especially in a small creator context.
