My little corner
Down here in my little corner, no one can hurt me,
In the library, between the books, I'm finally free,
Far off into the corner, no eyes can see,
My nose in a book, finally I can breathe.
No more friends who lie and hurt
No more feeling as dirty as dirt.
No more broken promises or hearts
Just reading a book straight from the start,
Loosing myself in a whole new world,
Princesses dragons, lady knights who always prevail.
Happy endings start new burning fires
And all the bad guys seem to expire.
In my current book, the leading lady, she
Raised an army just to be free.
She overcame all the bad bad things,
And united with her true love using a ring.
Atlas it's just an escape for me
Something I can only dream.
But it's just me alone,
No more chill in my bones.
No, it's just me, books and my corner
And for once, I'm finally warmer.
