Aion Noob help

Some things it took me ages to figure because it’s stated differently in all the wikis and most forum posts and you can only find the infos by digging through old news/patchnotes or trying etc.

Current date: 7th July 2015 / (Playing Euro Server Vers. 4.75)

No EXP Death Penalty until Level 50, so don’t worry too much about Aggros and Mobs killing you

this also means you can’t actively loose EXP to stay on a certain level

Bind at the Obelisks, you will hate walking all the way back

You can abandon quests and do them later, they wont become unavailable (this is always my biggest fear in RPGs).

Once you get the Ascencion quest, start doing it. When you hit Lvl 9 your EXP wont go up until you become a Daeva and get your wings, so doing other quests is wasted EXP.

Don’t be afraid to leave Poeta/Ishalgen/X-Area, you can return any time you want!

Haramel is a Solo Instance, don’t be afraid to go there

HARAMEL DOES NOT HAVE A CAP anymore

Hover your mouse over an Instance (the cave things on your map) to show it’s level requirements. If there is no cap mentioned, it has no cap!

You will get a free pet when you’re introduced to the pet system

You will get a free carrier pet from the Pink (!) Questmark NPC as a reward for leveling at a later point

You don’t have to decide for a crafting-profession, you can learn all!

Do the pink quests with the 0$ online shop items. They give awesome scrolls!

Your best plan is probably to save up money for getting your cube extended as far as possible before trying to spend money on fashion items (that you wont be able to afford early on anyway )
