A festival was held each year in Roman Alexandria on January 6 honoring Aion, the divine personification of perpetual, cyclic, time. Aion was associated with the Mysteries of Orpheus, Dionysus, and Mithras.

Often called Aion Plutonius, the epithet Plutonius marks functional aspects shared with King Hades, husband of Persephone and ruler of the underworld in the Eleusinian tradition. Epiphanius says that at Alexandria Aion's birth from Persephone was celebrated 6 January:  "On this day and at this hour the Maiden gave birth to Aion." The date, which coincides with Epiphany, brought new year's celebrations to a close, completing the cycle of time that Aion embodies.

Crazy how Cassiopeia has such insane deep lore, idk about identifying Cassiopeia mother of Andromeda with Cassiopeia wife of Phoenix tho and I don’t see any mention of Erebos so that’s also weird. Still some interesting stuff.
