This was much, much better than I expected. We saw less - but less was more on this occasion.
I’m not usually given to bible quotations; I’ve read much better fantasy. However it’s occasionally a beautiful bit of writing, and 1 Corinthians 13 fits the spectral, doomy flavour of this just as well as Mamoru Oshii thought it did in Ghost In The Shell in 1995:
"For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. [...]For now we see through a glass, darkly"
