I am generally of the opinion that people can ship whatever they like since more often than not, the characters are. not. real.
However, I do have a problem with Megop shippers. I get it. The ship is cute in fanfiction sometimes. I have been enthralled by a few fics and AUs that do the pairing justice. But seriously, Megop shippers need to calm down. Not every single panel showing these two idiots together is ship bait. Not every line is inherently designed to inspire a sexual awakening. Not every single version of Megatron and Optimus are compatible outside of a crackship context. This is a problem with other TF ships too, but Megop shippers are the most egregious hardcore shippers I have come across. Seriously, guys, can we have friendships?
Maybe, maybe just for once, it would be dope if someone just made an AU where Megatron and Optimus are banger friends. Maybe it would be awesome if we gave other ships a dang moment to shine. MAYBE IT WOULD BE COOL IF WE LET BROS BE BROS FOR ONCE WITHOUT LOOKING FOR HIDDEN ROMANCE
