shock is wearing off now the tears are here THEYVE BEEN IN LOVE THE WHOLE TIME !!!!!!! THEYVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH AND THERYRE STILL HEREEEE and the kindness and understanding and forgiveness they gave us!!!! i neverrrrr thought they'd actually adress it and especially not with such ?? care?? i cant find the right word. but it's something for them and it's held them back and now it wont and im just so disgustingly proud

today i am grateful that they didnt do hard launch merch :)

i am a well-adjusted person and i for sure did not literally collapse to the floor in tears in my kitchen

i keep thinking about 2019. how ii was supposed to be The End, and somehow, miraculously, dan and phil were convinced by the audience that they could come out and be happy, accepted. that the kids that tore their privacy apart had grown up a bit, adjusted, spoke in such a heartfelt way about the queer community that they managed to create with essentially no effort. the kids that they parasocially raised turned out okay.

i cant help but want to draw strings to tit as well, if there was something in that tour that gave them the small final push, or if this was inevitable regardless? was it just that time has passed and we’ve all grown up?

i also think of phil, so so much. the grace he’s handled this with, in the public eye. letting dan take the reigns. especially in 2019, letting dan have the spotlight for so long because he needed that affirmation. phil waiting until the last day of pride to come out.

and in this. giving dan the space to talk about what mattered to him. giving support as if it was as simple as breathing. kind of joking that him in ‘09 was “trying”. succeeding.
