Happy Mother's Day to this lady right here. I'm constantly in awe of her seemingly endless capacity to love - not just her just children, but people. With ease she connects and empathizes with strangers that can't help but turn around and love her right back. My mom had her first child at 18. At 30, she had her fourth child, my little brother. For birthing my best friends, for making me a human with empathy and humor, for fighting for me and my siblings, for raising me to know that I have a voice that deserves to be heard, for loving and encouraging me, for giving me strength and a home in herself, for overcoming and sacrificing, for babying me when I need it, and for teaching me about the power that comes from being/looking silly and not giving a shit, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this woman. I will never be able to thank her enough. You have set the foundation of who I am, what it means to have a heart, and how beautiful genuinely sharing it can be. Thank you for being my mom and for knocking that shit outta the park. #youcameoutofalady #happymothersday #hardasamutha
