Draco collapsed onto the sofa in the common room, he knew his schooling was important but he could not find the time to get it all done. He had many strong arguments with Snape about his likely hood to get held back another year, but Draco would most likely drop out anyway. There were other ways of getting a head in his world. But now he was hearing it from Pansy too. He had become senseless to people telling him what to do especially if it was about school or anything related to the subject. A sigh released from his lips faster than he could think about it. He could see the redness in her face start to appear from yelling at him, “I know you genuinely care…Otherwise you wouldn’t be screaming at me. Look at the bigger picture Pans! It doesn’t matter if I pass my NEWTS or not. How can you focus on that right now when there’s clearly going to be a war.” Her words were silenced and her throat was out of breath. Perhaps she had been in denial this whole time, she only heard about the news from what Draco had told her and whispers in the hallway. “Not all of us have the luxury for not caring about other things. School is a good distraction and maybe if you weren’t so focused on the on coming doom, you wouldn’t be thinking of dropping out!” He shook his head at her naïvety, “You can’t be serious… You know what I’ve told you about that. There's no point to this idiocy. NEWTS and OWLS..." he rolled his eyes as his words seemed to roll off his tongue. He paced in front of her back and forth, now trying to get his mind off of their argument, but he couldn't think of a plausible reason for them to stop. It was clear to him that he'd made her furious or even opened her eyes at the possibilities of what was going to happen in the very near future...
