Alec isn't really shy when it comes to expressing love to his partner.

His giving love languages are words of affirmation, and acts or service

So he will always tell you how he feels. Reminding you how important you are to him, and how much he loves you.

"You're the most important person in my life. "I love you more than anything"

"More than orange soda?" "If I had to choose between you and Orange soda, I'd choose you"

"More than Star Trek?" "Well now don't push i- OW!"

He is very supportive, and the best hype-man a boyfriend could be lol

"You're doing great babe!" "That was awesome!" "That was hot" "You're amazing you know that?" etc.

When his words fail him or he isn't sure exactly what you need to hear, he does things for you.

He will bring you coffee, tea, water, food or snacks.

He'll run you a nice bath after a long day, or bring you a blanket or pillow to cuddle with on the couch (unless you want to cuddle him, in that case he is ready and willing)

If you are so busy and overwhelmed, he will help you with the tasks he can, to take some of the stress away.

He is alway a shouder to cry on, or an ear when you need to rant about something stressing you out.

He shows you he loves you by giving you the attention you need and deserve.

And making sure you know what is making you upset, whether its big or small is valid.

"It's stupid I know" "If it's hurting you it's not stupid"

If you need help with a solution he will talk you through it. If you just need someone to listen, he will give you all the attention you need.

Besides words, he is a fan of physical affection.

So he will show you how he feels with hugs, kisses and more.

Hugs from behind when you are trying to do something. Kisses on your cheek temple and shoulder.

He will sway you back and forth as he holds you tightly in his arms.

Hand holding in public, or an arm across your shoulders.

It's his way of showing you he is always there. And he just loves being close to you.

Headcanons: Hardison being the readers first kiss

Pairing: Alec Hardison x reader

Gender: Neutral         

Triggers: None, unless you are triggered by kissing. There is also maybe a couple slightly suggestive remarks. 

Notes: Just for reference, Alec Hardison is confirmed to be 24 during the 3rd season. For these headcanons, the reader - though age will not be specified - will be referenced to be around the same age as him.

⊗ You and Hardison hit it off pretty quickly when you joined the team, you were around the same age and had similar interests

⊗ Hardison took to flirting with you pretty early on too

⊗ He wasn’t super obvious, but you were aware of his intentions

⊗ You also likes him quite a bit, and you wouldn’t really mind dating him, and he really wanted to date you

⊗ I mean, that boy was head-over-heels for you

⊗ So as you two grew closer and closer, you sort of passed the boundary of just friends, but didn’t go any further

⊗ There was just this sort of mutual pining

⊗ Until one night, I after a case, and you two were hanging out at his place, playing video games

⊗ You lost to him, for the fifth time, and groaned out loud, throwing yourself back against the couch

⊗ He smiled at you, admiring your pouting face before he suddenly said “You’re cute when you’re frustrated you know”

⊗ You stared at him, taken aback by his sudden nonchalant, yet, bold statement, blinking a few times before you smiled “Shut up Alec”

⊗ He would laugh and lean back next to you “No seriously, like the way your face get’s all-” he made a face mocking your expression

⊗ You gently punched him “I do not look like that”

⊗ He would laugh at your offended expression “Nah, you’re right, you look much better” he would stare at you for a moment, unblinkingly

⊗ “Why are you staring at me like that?” your voice would be quiet, your heartbeat quickening due to his intense gaze

⊗ “I...just, really want to kiss you” he would mumble

⊗ You paused for a moment “Oh”

⊗ You would look down shyly at your hands, and he would get nervous, before rubbing the back of his neck and moving to get up “I shouldn’t have said that, my bad, I don’t know what came over me, I know you don’t want me to-”

⊗ “I do” you would say bluntly stopping him from leaving

⊗ He would sit back down “You do?”

⊗ “Yeah” you’d laugh lightly “I..like you Alec, it’s just...”

⊗ “What is it?” he would ask gently, leaning forward a bit

⊗ “It’s embarrassing”

⊗ “Hey, it’s me you’re talking to, you’ve seen my dumb ass do so many embarrassing things” you looked at him, finding a gentle and caring smile on his face “I won’t tell anyone”

⊗ “It’s just that, uh, I’ve never...kissed anyone” 

⊗ You avoided looking at him as he stayed silent, some people were so judgmental about when people should do certain..things, that you had to have your first kiss, or lose your virginity by a certain age, so you were a bit afraid of what he would think of you

⊗ When you heard a gentle scoff you looked up at him

⊗ “That’s it? Hey, there ain’t anything wrong with that” he’d say, shaking his head lightly “Besides” he began as he leaned closer to you “That just means I get the honor of being you first”

⊗ The subtle hint at being more than your first kiss hung in the air, luckily without an air of awkwardness that it might if it was someone else

⊗ You returned the smile he was giving you, your gaze quickly flicking down to his lips

⊗ “So”

⊗ “So?” you questioned him quietly

⊗ “Can I kiss you then?”

⊗ Your smile grew a bit as you nodded lightly, before whispering out “Yes”

⊗ He would slowly bring his hand to your face, gently cupping your cheek before leaning in

⊗ His lips met yours lightly at first, hesitant. He didn’t want to pressure you, or accidentally push you away, so he began slowly

⊗ When you leaned in a bit, deepening the kiss, just slightly, his hand moved to the back of your head as he deepened the kiss even more

⊗ He held the kiss for a few more seconds before pulling away, meeting your eyes as he gently caressed your face with his other hand

⊗ You smiled at each other for a moment before the two of you closed the distance between you in unison

⊗ Your second kiss being more passionate than the first, and signalling the beginning of your new relationship
