Latest Faderfox Hardware
What is strange is that we are seeing some of the largest DJ companies go out of business, when some of the smaller ones are still around and surviving. Perhaps they took too little and spread it way too thin to actually keep something for themselves. Take a look at a company like Native Instruments, who basically has their hand in all sorts of music production on a global scale. I don’t see them calling it quits any time soon. Then you have a company like Vestax who specialized in DJ mixers; they didn’t last in a world where the demand for gear is always changing. How about those smaller boutique companies like FaderFox who have only ever made small and expensive mixing devices? How are they still alive today? Personally, I think that they took focus on a small sector of the industry and did a very good job of selling to specialized users. They aren’t a company like Behringer or Akai who can dumb down a product to make it sellable. They only cater to top end audiences, and their gear will see itself to this type of crowd. Hats off to them for being able to survive in such a place. http://createdigitalmusic.com/2014/10/knobs-encoders-crazy-powerful-step-sequencer-latest-faderfox-hardware/
