NicFit: My one true love

In prevision of all the ban talks that finally happened on the 10th of november, I've been off the classic lists in legacy and enjoyed a little bit of memeing.

I played breakfast without nadu

I played a fancy mono red stompy

and I went back to my first true love: Nic Fit

Koike, who is the NicFit goat posted a list over the summer that I decided to sleeve. It forgoes black completely and plays red with a few 'new' cards from commander. The interaction between Gargadon and Vet is great as you can often favourabely trigger your vet in the face of removal. You sometimes ramp like crazy and Lazotep is a surprisingly nice addition to the deck. It helps your main plan and provides creatures in the late game. However as it is, this deck as very little interaction and I'm not sure I'm fan of that.

I've tried it on the monthly sundays @viking to a 2-3 finish and I also played it on my trip in japan (more on that another time). I finished 1-2 with a bye. I faced doomsday where I failed to identify the juke to tempo aggro but after my first win the two next matches were really tight (but I lost). I also lost to bant shizzle control (with Yuna in the 95, nice!). That deck had way to much removal for all my pieces + The one ring value and it was difficult to hit key pieces with the flutes as they where easilly removed. I managed to have a win with an overkill however and the games where really pleasant as well.

All in all it was really refreshing to play one of my favourite decks. In the meantime I found a few other decklists I want to test and I'm really looking forward to jam more uncastable green creatures!
