if you don't mind me adding a little to this thought, but sasuke's like "you could give money to anyone who needs it more, why me?" and naruto's like "I already do. I gave money to the rec center to repair the building and expand the basket ball court, I funded the building of that new high school, I gave money to the elementary school so they could have new text books and increase the pay of the teachers. I practically run this town."

second off holy SHIT though, imagine sasuke’s face as it dawns on him. naruto has acted like a carefree, funny person who probably just has a nice job. then it’s revealed that naruto is actually a very powerful person, he just keeps it under wraps. maybe because he used to have people like him just for his wealth, or maybe because he really doesn’t care much. but sasuke’s passed the test somehow—

ACTUALLY maybe they first meet because sasuke helped naruto out somehow, oh my gosh!! and he was generous with his time/care so after getting to know him naruto wants to be generous as well. 

i dig your idea seriously. i always like stories where naruto plays a huge part/has some secretive background that opens a lot of doors. give me complex naruto tbh

I dunno, I'm one for NOT letting Sasuke's abusers anywhere near him. I mean, Naruto ain't the one that killed Sasuke's whole family, ya know what I mean? But that's just my piece. Everyone will do what they want.

yea I’m pretty anti-itachi because of that and other things. fanon is one thing but in the manga though? sasuke really idolized itachi and almost treats him like a god after the reveal. eveything itachi did to him was ignored and forgotten. i don’t like that but oh well thats what happened.
