No problem, I had a lot of fun! I'll miss the game for sure.I play a lot of the more popular ikemenge out there, but sadly there aren't any other RPG-like games with an all-male cast, which is why I liked Otome Yūsha so much. Of course, Granblue Fantasy is always good if you're looking to slay monsters with pretty boys. I've also been very into Dream!ing and Stand My Heroes recently, but those are vastly different from Otome Yūsha.

I'm actually on the lookout for another game I could start a similar guide/translation project on since this was such a fun side hobby.

The end

Well, it’s been a long time coming, but I’m glad they tried to keep the game alive for as long as they did. The game service will officially be terminated on February 14th, 2020.

The game team apologises for the sudden announcement. They worked hard to make a game that we can enjoy after the renewal, but ultimately decided that it was difficult to provide a service that would keep being satisfactory. They thank the players for their support.

The rest of the notice details the plans until the end of the service. I’ll give brief translations of most of it.

The beginning answers questions regarding Orb purchases and refunds, which I’ll skip since we were never able to purchase them anyway. Orbs you’re currently holding can be used until the end of the service.

The continuation of the Rokutenma part of the main story will be announced outside of the app in the future. (All of their pictures were revealed a while ago on the official website, if you’re interested.)

Thanksgiving events & campaigns

Events and campaigns will be held until the end of the service. Spirits, equipment, chibi characters etc. that have appeared until now will be easy to get. A total of three “acts” are scheduled during which Spirits and equipment of past events and summons are obtainable. In the event summon, new Spirits with fully voiced Bond Episodes and Soul Episodes will appear.

Event schedule is as follows (each event period has their list of associated past events, which you can check for yourself in the in-game notice):

January 1st - January 12th (New Spirits: Sasha, Clovis and Krumm)

January 17th - January 29th (New Spirits: Slash, Zekuu and Fal)

February 1st - February 12th (New Spirits: Jami)

The game will also be made easier to play until the end by giving out more free Orbs as login bonuses and reducing the Main Race’s stamina consumption to 0.

From January 16th to the end of the service there will be a special summon box with all of the limited 2019 birthday Spirits.

And there we go. I had a lot of fun with this little project and the game. I’ll still keep answering any questions you might have until the last day, but for now, see ya.

Hello! Do you know if there's a maximum level for slayers? Also, if there's a way to replay judgement scenes (with the cgs)? Thank you :D

Hi! Yep, max rank for Slayers is 65 at the moment. The only way to see the Judgment scenes again is triggering the actual event; there’s no way to replay them or even view only the CG’s, sadly.

I finally got a new egg! But I don't know how to equip/interact with it, I tried clicking on those "empty spot" buttons but they are not listed :(

Did you notice there are two tabs on the screen when you tap the empty spot button? One says 天惺獣 and the other たまご. The egg should be on the latter tab.

Also, make sure you didn’t just accidentally leave it in your present box. Has happened to me more times than I’d like to admit...

Hi! Is gear from gacha better than the ones we can craft?

Hello! The attack and defence stats are generally the same, but only summonable equipment can have passive skills. So yes, gacha gear tends to be better.

How do we use things like Judgment Wings and Heart Scale Shards? As in, I have them and I know what they do, but where do I access them and use them? P.S. You are an absolute hero (haha, geddit?) for continuing this blog after renewal, since the Japanese wikis are pretty much dead.

Judgment Wings are used by tapping アイテム (the second blue button from the bottom left) on the Race preparation screen and selecting it from there. The Judgment will appear at the end of the Race.

The shards are used by going to a Slayer’s Episode page, going to either light or dark route tab, and tapping a locked Episode. This unlocks the Episode without needing to actually complete the King’s Trials in the route.

Do you think it's good to build more than one team? I use only one and I'm able to clear content well, it does not seem I need to pay attention to the elements that much, but there are lots of pretty boys and I would like to use their cards. I'm afraid it will be too hard to level them up ;_;

I’d say it’s perfectly fine to not focus on a single team. I personally have my main team that I use for hard Races and the Phantom Tower, but experiment a lot with other team combinations and cards in other Races. Now is even a good time to quickly level them up with the campaigns going on!

You can easily make a new team usable just by equipping them with good gear and, if you don’t mind it dictating you party combination and you have the cards for it, matching their and your support team’s weapon types.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, have fun and use whoever pretty boy you’d like; you can still keep your main focus on your best team if you want. Or who knows, you might find something that works even better.

A lot of cool updates and campaigns recently! Megres of the Rokutenma was revealed and skip tickets introduced. I’ll translate the important parts.

- First of all, daily free 10-summons! Log in daily to summon up to 120 times, meaning 12 10-summons. The featured Slayers change daily. (Meaning there’s an increased chance to get their Spirits.)

- Past limited Spirits make a reappearance! With them also comes daily free single pulls. The featured Spirits change every three days. Slayers that didn’t get a limited 4* or 3* Spirit before the renewal, come with 3* or 2* Spirits instead.

- Next, Megres! We actually get to summon for a Megres Spirit, but it can only be used as a support. It seems to have higher stats than normal Spirits, and its weapon type is “none”. The Spirit also unlocks Megres’s Episodes.

There’s also a limited Race that unlocks a mini Episode with Megres.

- A new stage is added with new main story content. This is where Megres appears. You can apparently play this stage even if you haven’t played all of the previous main story; clearing Granlot Kingdom is enough, and you get a short version of the Road to Glory storyline when you play the first Race in the new stage.

There’s an ongoing campaign that nets you extra rewards if you clear Granlot Kingdom and Legendora Kingdom (the first and second stages) during it. If you’ve already cleared them, you’ll still get the rewards. They will be given out during the next maintenance. A lot of great rewards, including Orbs, Monster Eggs and skip tickets to name a few. This goes on until the end of the month.

There are also limited Hero’s Challenges for playing the new stage.

- Skip tickets are finally here. With them you can skip Races you’ve previously cleared. You still get the gold and drops. To use a skip ticket, tap 「スキップチケット」 on the bottom left corner of the Race preparation screen. You can use multiple skip tickets at once. Be aware that this still uses your stamina.

You can get skip tickets from Hero’s Challenges, events, or by purchasing them with Orbs.

- There are limited item sets available for purchase in the Orb Shop. (The shop where you exchange Orbs for items. Although there are also Orb packs, but it’s not like we can buy those.)

- You can currently stregthen your Spirits for half the gold and the experience they gain is multiplied by 1.5.

- Stamina consumption when playing Main Races is also halved right now. Event Races consume the normal amount.

- A special Race is going on where you can get a lot of rank XP. You can play this Race once a day until the end of the month.

- Also, limited Race that drops Spirit strengthening materials. Also also, all daily Races are open every day during this campaign.

I know we need to unlock something to use 3 and 4 star cards of the characters, but I cannot find what. Can you tell me? Should I try to get 2 star cards of the other characters for the moment?

You should be able to use all of the cards you’ve acquired right from the beginning, though. Is it possible that you’re doing something different during the changing process? I made a quick mini guide just to be sure. 

Feel free to clarify if I misunderstood you.

Aside from dropping from main Races, you can also buy them during events with your event points. That’s probably the fastest way.

Unfortunately you can’t currently buy Orbs without a Japanese account.

Will you do a guide or page on the Collection / Collectible Items? As far as I know, the places you get the collectibles from are completely random, so there isn’t really much else I can tell about them. So... Good luck on collecting!

Date event

I’m pretty busy right now, so this guide will be very brief. I’ll make it better and add pictures when I can.

- In this event you collect Love Points by playing the Races. The Love Points can be used to buy either dates with the three featured Slayers (デートプラン), or items, chibi costumes and titles from the Date Store (デートストア). - There is also a fourth featured Slayer (Grants this time), but his dates are unlocked one per day automatically. - One of the Slayers has two different date scenarios you can unlock (this time it’s Ixa). - As usual, there are also Hero’s Challenges to go with the event found in the イベント tab. Most of them you’ll clear just by participating in the event, but the rest need you to unlock dates with the Slayers. - In Date Events you can’t buy or receive new Spirits as rewards, but the featured summon box Spirits increase Love Point drop rates in the Event Races. - Sometimes during the Races you’ll encounter three present boxes instead of enemies. You’ll have a few seconds to tap one of them and win either Points, Love Points, or an enemy battle that grants you no points whatsoever. - When the EX gauge is full, an EX Stage is unlocked. This is not a Race, but a Skinship game. You play Skinship once with the Slayer that was the leader of your party the last time you played an Event Race. This gives you more Love Points.

Feel free to ask me any questions regarding the event - I can’t make an extensive guide right now, but I can probably at least answer those.

I'm miracle_the_bard. I'd like to know whether it's advisable to do skinship of particular character once you've done with the "underwear" . Also, do you happen to know if there's any communities about this game (in japan/other), and also a guide for the game (i couldn't find any other guides other than these 2 sites _gamemerch and seewiki- ~Have a nice day~

Hi! Depends on what you want to focus on, really. Skinship also increases the Slayer’s affection, which is needed to rank them up, and you get useful items like potions and gifts. The point where it becomes kind of useless is when the Slayer is max rank already and you’ve collected their underwear.

Sadly, the sites you mentioned are the only sites I know of that provide gameplay guidance, and currently the only place with an active community seems to be Twitter. 2ch used to have somewhat regular game discussion, but even that died down after the game went under maintenance and hasn’t started up again.
