Shiloh and Ava had another puppy play date!

I remember when Rusty was little we would try and take him out for walks, but he hated it. He loved the first few minutes of a walk, but by the time we got about halfway around the block he would just stop.

That little weenie would just plant his basset bum and make you drag him the rest of the way home

After several unsuccessful attempts we just stopped taking him for walks (we have a big enough yard that walks aren’t completely necessary). Every once in a blue moon we’d walk him, but always with the same results

For whatever reason, though, after we got Shiloh-- he suddenly loved walks!! We’d take him downtown with Shiloh and he would pull the leash like a little freight train. We had to be careful about letting him near other dogs since he didn’t play friendly with strange dogs, but he absolutely loved to say hi to people. He would get so fucking upset if we sat at a bench and someone walked past without acknowledging or petting him.

One time my friend, Katelyn, and I tried to walk the chihuahuas and Shiloh around the block and Rusty nosed open the front door (my mom was home so I didn’t need to lock it) and ran through the electric fence and down the street so he could come with us. Katelyn had to carry Lady so she could use her leash for him omg

I still have a picture somewhere of her giving him the finger after that lol
