WHAT DO YOU FUCKING MEAN HARPER IS ONLY MENTIONED ONCE IN SPARKING FIRE OUT OF FATE
it’s the first day of autumn, hbd prince rhen
“Grey would never have yielded. I begged him to tell Rhen what he knew. I begged him, and he refused.” (Harper about Grey)
vs
“I basically had to force him into my room because he wouldn’t willingly put me at risk—but he’s never denied me anything.” (Harper about Rhen)
yeah... if you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't.
and if I say that I think grey staying with rhen throughout the curse was a matter of guilt and self-punishment, and not pure loyalty...
sometimes i think about how rhen just said "you will leave harper alone. you will leave grey alone" while he was literally being sa’d and tortured, and i cry a little.
the fact that harper barely appears in the Forging Silver into Stars trilogy makes no sense
harper’s entire arc in the first trilogy is built around her getting too involved with the people of emberfall because helping others is such an important part of who she is
and now you're telling me that when her own family is facing serious problems, she does NOTHING? yeah, sure
i love ACDSAL with all my heart, but i really hate that brigid kemmerer chose to use the “not like other girls” trope with harper when she doesn’t actually fit it
the circumstances were different, not harper herself!!! ugh-
