A Playlist for Soren

Talk about random inspiration. 

Summary - Harper remembers the start of their relationship and Soren wonders how she can get her family to back off.

Harper smiled to herself as she put the finishing touches on the playlist she just finished making.  Each song was special - just like the person she was creating it for.  She heard the familiar ding of her messenger, and she paused to see who it was.  With her playlist complete, all she needed to do was make the right graphic.  

Her phone chimed again and Harper rolled her eyes.  “Okay, okay I’m coming.”  She swiped past her lock screen and when she saw who it was, she laughed.  Soren had sent her a message about something random again, and she smiled.  They had been friends for several years before Harper had confessed how she felt.  She would remember that day for years to come.  Soren had yet to meet Harper though.  They started out as online friends, and as they started talking more and more, feelings grew.  

They exchanged gifts for Christmas - Soren gave her a copy of her favorite book, a small knick knack from their favorite show and a letter.  Harper blushed as she read the letter but her gift in return was a snowglobe with Rudolph and Clarice.  

Soren -  Both my mom and my sister are trying to set me up with the cute guy I work with. Harper - I hope you told them no. Soren - Repeatedly. Harper - Is Kit doing anything to help? Soren - 😒 They won't listen to him either.  He has a girlfriend and  he's not into me like that - plus his girlfriend is super hot.   Harper - Soren… Soren - 😘😘 you're hotter babe. Harper - They do know you're in a relationship right? Soren - Of course they know.  I just don't get why they won't accept it.  I love you and we're going to meet soon.  I just wish they would get off my nuts about this. Harper - I love you too and I can't wait to finally meet you in person.   Soren - 💜💜 Harper - 💚💚

Soren was taking her lunch break at work when she felt her phone vibrate.  She recognized the familiar icon at the top of her phone and smiled.  Harper had tagged her in something.  She made her way to tumblr and as she started reading the post Harper tagged her in, she started crying.

I'm pretty sure you guys are tired of me mentioning this but I can't wait until next month.  I'll be able to hold you, and probably never let you go.  I can't wait to experience our first kiss - hell our first everything.  You mean the world to me, now and forever.  I love you Soren, and I've been working hard on this for you.  I want you to listen to this when things get tough - when you're family is being unbearable - when you miss me, just listen to this and remember all these things.
