“Great party.” “Life changing, even.”
Andi Mack (2017-2019), 3x20 - “We Were Here”, aired July 26, 2019
people will call rap overstimulating and then listen to hyper pop
i cant talk to people who hate on entire genres about music they have a sinister aura that i do not want to interact with
Even if it's Country?
yes hot take the hatred of country music as a whole will often come down to classism i love country music i love bluegrass i love folk and writing off a whole genre or type of music is crazyyyyyyy
I just think we all deserve massive home libraries and a couple swords, as a treat
like it's genuinely absurd how every post by an aro person going "Hey, it's kind of fucked up that marriage is the only way to access certain rights and privileges" gets people coming out of the woodwork to say "You idiot! Don't you know that marriage is important?! It's the only way to access certain rights and privileges!"
like . . . yeah. they do know that. that is in fact the problem.
The body of 18 year old Nolan Xavier Wells has unfortunately been found after he went missing from Horn Island, Mississippi. Wells went boating with a group of boys — the rest of the party being white — on July 4th, but he was the only one who didn’t return to shore.
It is becoming increasingly dangerous to be the only black person in a group. Rest in peace, Nolan. You deserve justice.
Update:
I’ve found his family’s GoFundMe for his funeral and celebration of life expenses. This campaign was created by their family friend Allayah Denis and is the only campaign they have, all others are fraudulent. They haven’t reached their goal yet, and funeral expenses are an incredible burden, so if you have the means please consider donating.
In Loving Memory of Nolan Xavier Wells Our hearts are broken beyond words. … Allayah Denis needs your support for In Loving Memory of
As of right now there appears to be no investigation yet, but hopefully there will be soon. Mississippi representative Bennie G. Thompson has publicly urged authorities for an investigation on his social media. If you have any more information please let me know. I’ll put any further updates in a reblog.

Is there a reason why people seem so resistant to acknowledging Flowery’s very blatant parallels with Asriel?
ENEMIES WITH BENEFITS | Episode 10
We need to think this through more carefully. We need to consider the real costs, the hidden costs, and analyze all the risks that could affect…
Organic EwB: Working together
Part 1 /Part 2
After the initial meeting, there are three scenes in particular that showcase the dynamic becoming more complex.
First, after Lal has accepted a (self-imposed) challenge to create work that is above reproach, she is smacked back down to earth, by Wine of course, but also by Lal’s own tunnel-vision-fueled carelessness.
The reason I love this scene is because Wine is loving it. LOOK AT HER! (JJ really nails this moment for me).
Wine never says much at work without an actual legitimate reason. She’s used to being right. But I highly doubt she enjoys giving critical feedback to anyone else this much.
It makes it even more intriguing when a different issue arises and we get to see two things:
1. We get to see Lal return some snark. This is fantastic because she’s so freaking nice and friendly all the time at work, even when she’s being talked down to. She needs to be more mean assertive sometimes. Guess who brings it out in her. (Note: this is definitely not assertive. Much more passive aggressive, but my point stands! She’s letting herself get angry!)
2. We get to see Wine have some kind of reaction to how her words affect someone else (ie. Lal). I feel like she was trying to break Lal’s sunny disposition…maybe not consciously, but you could tell Lal’s continuous optimism annoys her. But when it happened…and she experiences Lal’s version of rude…
It doesn’t feel good. That much you can see.
It’s a natural consequence of the harsh communication Wine uses at work that people are put off. That’s the point right? Don’t get close or misunderstood. Don’t put yourself in a vulnerable position to misunderstand or endanger your job. Be respected. Some fear is not bad either.
It worked right? But guess who the first person to make her question that way of doing things is?
Part of me thinks that is why she was mad at Lal after the elevator incident. Lal didn’t do anything in the elevator but when she tried to apologize…
Even though she apparently was “cool about it” with Numnim and Bos? There is already something germinating between them and both of the have no clue what is happening.
This is where it feels real. There’s a spark, but you can actually see why it ignited. They show it to us through these interactions and these performances; even just the interpretations of the characters. Lal and Wine challenge each other and they are starting to adapt to each other, in the work environment at least.
They both seem to be surviving pretty effectively with how they do things, but they are starting to bring things out in each other that can maybe help them thrive a little more.
I have no idea what I'm doing in space. I don't remember.

Flowery as a Symbol of the Post-Transition Dream
I've seen a notable number of people head-canon-ing Flowery as transmasc, and found myself wanting to agree with that interpretation despite it being mechanically impossible (plants don't have gender identities to begin with). I think the reason why is because while he isn't LITERALLY trans, he's very easy to read as SYMBOLICALLY trans. That is, he represents the idealized post-transition dream in the way he embodies freedom to finally express oneself after being so long trapped in a restrictive state, an unapologetic defiance of unspoken rules, and the valiant fight against a system built on predetermination. This is of-course epitomized with the way he encourages Ralsei specifically to break away from internally-enforced conformity and achieve self-actualization.
In general, Chapter 5's themes of realized identity ensured it was always going to be particularly queer-aligned, and especially trans-coded. The flowers collectively represent the pursuit of one's dream self, with Flowery functioning as the idealized role-model for the others to follow. This is why Pink fits in with them all so effortlessly: she too represents these themes.
