As a trans person who writes Harry Potter fanfiction, I honestly don't know what the future holds for me in that fandom. I will finish the one HP WIP I have posted, but a certain absolute fucking monster of a human being is making it extremely difficult to still find comfort in those comfort characters and a world I have loved since I was twelve years old, and now nearly thirty-three.
I don't know if I'll be able to keep posting HP fanfic in good conscience, even if I still have a ton of unfinished WIPs in my folders. I guess we'll have to see. I hate that she ruined my childhood by turning out to be a horrible garbage human who thinks I'm better off dead.

HARRY’S CHOICE IS COMPLETE!
Title: Harry’s Choice
Author: JBankai89
Rating: Explicit/NC-17
Warnings: Noncon, MPreg, Pregnancy Complications
Pairings: Harry/Remus
Summary: When Harry presents as an omega, he is given an impossible choice—be wed to Lucius Malfoy, a man who would delight in making him suffer for his part in the war, or bind himself to Remus Lupin, a man who he as always seen as an uncle and nothing more.
Though the choice is obvious, somehow, that doesn’t make it any easier.
This is an excerpt of the first draft of a new Harrimus fic I’m working on, Omegaverse this time around :)
Possible Trigger Warning: References to Rape and sexual assault.
“You can't ask this of me,” Remus said as he levelled his gaze with the headmaster, and Dumbledore bowed his head solemnly.
“I am afraid that you are the only one strong enough to protect him,” Dumbledore replied. “It is out of my hands—there is little I can do to help him. Even in these times of peace, it seems that he is destined to have anything but a normal life.”
“Has he presented yet?” Remus asked, ignoring the statement. “Does he even understand what is happening to him?”
“He presented last week,” Dumbledore said. “It is not so unusual for an omega to present so late. As I recall, Sirius was the same.”
“Presented at twenty-one,” Remus replied, his gaze dropping at the recollection of it. “He presented, then he went to Azkaban. I didn't even have time to...” He trailed off, shaking his head. What was gone, was gone. There was little point lamenting on it now.
“And Harry is merely twenty,” Dumbledore continued in a bland tone of voice. “You know that I would not ask this of you, Remus, but Lucius Malfoy has made a bid for him through the Ministry. An attempt to mend his family's broken image, no doubt. As a beta, it is out of my hands. But you, as an alpha, you can contest it—claim Harry, and save him from a life of torment.”
“He is like a son to me,” Remus countered, “he is Teddy's godson, he is family. You cannot seriously think that Harry would accept me as his mate.”
“You are the only one, Remus,” Dumbledore pressed. “Need I list the candidates for you? Almost all of Harry's friends are beta or omega, and many of the adult alphas that he knows are mated already. The only other alpha is my brother, Aberforth, who, I gather, Harry would be even less willing to mate with.
“You are his only family, but not by blood. He loves you and trusts you, and knows that you would not hurt him or take advantage of him,” Dumbledore concluded, his tone virtually unchanged from the bland tone Remus had grown up hearing, but now there was a pleading edge to it.
“Werewolves are highly possessive of their mates,” Remus said, his tone icy, but he should have known better than to hope it would intimidate the older man. “If I were to mark him, my instincts would make me...shall we say, unwilling to share him. I would be condemning him to a life he would not want—he'd never be able to choose his own partner, or live a life with someone he would love. He'd be trapped.”
“And without you, he would be forced by the Ministry to bind himself to Lucius Malfoy,” Dumbledore reminded him patiently. “One way or another, Harry has very little choice in the matter. At least with you he would be safe, and need not fear nightly sexual assaults or forced pregnancy.”
Remus ground his teeth as he clenched his hands into fists. This wasn't fair, to Harry or to himself. He'd hardly even been given time to mourn Dora, and already another partner—an unwilling one, this time—was being foisted upon him.
“I know that this seems unfair to you,” Dumbledore continued patiently, his fingers threaded together as he spoke, “and if I saw another avenue for us to take, I would have done so, but there is not. You, my boy, as they say, are it.”
As of now, the Lunaticus series is complete, and I’m still sort of in denial that it’s over. After so long of working on it obsessively and nonstop for a year and a half, it’s going to be weird to not work on it anymore (ignoring the fact that I have two companion pieces for this series in the works but anyway)
So, for the last time, I share with you the Lunaticus series:
Half Moon
Warnings: Sexual assault, violence, gore
Summary: Harry Potter has finally gotten the normal life he's always wanted. He and Ginny have been together for two years, he has a job he loves, and life is finally going right. But when he protects Remus Lupin from an attack by an Anti-Werewolf group, he inadvertently lays claim on Remus in a werewolf mating bond. What will this mean for Harry? Will there be a way to break it, or will he be forced to accept Remus into his life in more intimate ways than he ever expected?
Moonstruck
Warnings: Emotional abuse, violence, gore
Summary: Six months after the harrowing events following the downfall of Red Moon, Harry and Remus couldn't be happier together. But all is not as well as it seems. Remus has yet to make a decision regarding Greyback's invitation, meanwhile Harry has begun to experience inexplicable, vivid dreams. He fears losing Remus, and struggles with the decision of whether or not to confide in his partner the details of his dreams, certain that the wrong move might push him away.
New Moon Rising
Warnings: Sexual harassment, violence, gore
Summary: Harry wakes from his brutal attack by Greyback and Remus to find Hermione at his side, caught in the crossfire between Harry and Greyback. Harry is quick to leave the wizarding world and join Fenrir Greyback's pack, while Hermione chooses to stay behind.
Having realized his crass mistake, Remus returns to the territory, intent on winning Harry back and proving to him how deeply he regrets how he had treated him. Harry has moved on and wants nothing to do with his ex, but Remus refuses to give up, and suddenly Harry is caught in between the two dominant werewolves, and once more, Harry's life has become much more complicated than he ever wanted it to be.
Companion Piece - Blue Moon
Warnings: Suicidal thoughts/tendencies, violence
Summary: Harry Potter is a werewolf. Remus, horrified and ashamed with what he has done, leaves long before he wakes from his unconscious state. Determined to run away from himself and his guilt, he makes it as far as The Hog's Head, where he bumps into an old friend.
I'm thiiiiiiiiiiis close to finishing the first draft of New Moon Rising. Just the Epilogue to go. I (happy) cried my way through at least two-thirds of the final chapter. I'm so happy with how this came out, I have no words.
