Chapter 5: 1 - Acid
So, Harrington’s called it quits on this little painstakingly confusing, mind-numbingly amazing, secret sex thing they’ve got going.
Which is just fine. Yeah. That’s fine. Billy’ll keep his to himself; all the good it’s done, him sharing his thoughts and not lying once.
And yet, here they are, not a week later, and he should have known it was a terrible idea. It's so obvious in hindsight. But, in reality, how in god’s name is Billy supposed to say no to him?

Billy changes in the little bedroom; the jeans are cheap and stiff and the fit sucks, but unlike the ones he's been wearing they’re unstained and unripped and don’t suggest he’s a drifter dope fiend. Unfortunately they come with a fuck-ass Hoosiers t-shirt and a douchey beige warm-up jacket that maybe Harrington could pull off with a popped collar and sunglasses. Billy rolls the sleeves but there’s still no hope. He looks like a streak of preppy Indiana piss.
“You little shit!” Hopper yells, angrily.
Billy yanks the door open.
The door to the cabin’s flung wide. Hopper’s stomping off the porch. “Harrington!” Hopper yells, after—Harrington’s running back. Holy shit. Harrington’s booking it into the woods. Darting between the trees in the half-darkened twilight. He jumps a fucking log like a track hurdle and disappears. “Bring back my fucking keys!” Hopper hollers. He crashes through the brush after Harrington, swearing and huffing like a bear, and then he’s out of sight, too.
Billy stands dumbfounded on the porch.
