Clytemnestra (OOPS)
[My character kills yours.]
Imogen was never very good at these kinds of things. She didn’t have the reflexes. Some people conditioned themselves to do this. Kept hammering away at it until they were the best, or until they got beaten by the best. Imogen didn’t have that kind of dedication, so naturally when she first picked it up, things got messy. Her technique was all over the place and almost nonexistent. She flinched at the sudden loud noise and pressed as hard as she could in a desperate attempt to defend herself.
Both Harrison’s jaw and hands went slack and his controller nearly fell to the floor. The little man he had been moving was now lying on the ground in a heap, slowly turning transparent.
"Did you just…did you just kill me?!" he gaped, voice raising an octave.
"I-I didn’t mean to…" Imogen mumbled, mentally beating herself up over how she still didn’t have a hold on this game. They’d been playing it for nearly three hours straight. "I was just trying to grab the thing you told me to grab, but then the bad guys got in the way, and I…"
"—How the heck did you do that?! I didn’t even think that was possible!” he continued to holler, staring at the TV screen, his expression in between emotionally wounded and gobsmacked.
