In chapter 4 harrow says "all you have to remember is that if you don't do what I say, I will mix bone marrow in with your breakfast and punch my way through your gut" and in harrow ||that's exactly what she does to Gideon the First.

i know we don’t get to see much of steph but i really wish the show would actually work on developing her or at least, explaining why she is acting the way she does. maybe it’s just me, i don’t know but her character just feels like it lacks substance - especially where fern is concerned.
poor fern:( i understand where harrow is coming from regarding not wanting her to stay with him. if he hadn’t been shot and then threatened and told that the people he loved would be hurt, he probably would have let her stay with him but at the same time, his “i think you’ll be more comfortable at your mothers” like, what the hell? no, she absolutely will not! she was abused in that house and she clearly doesn’t want to be anywhere near her mother, let alone stay with her... as i said, i understand where he’s coming from but this isn’t the best thing for fern and it doesn’t seem like harrow or steph even realise that.

i really thought steph would be left in the dark forever but i’m glad that she knows what happened and her reaction to it... i mean, it’s not exactly surprising. what are you supposed to do, to think when you find out your ex husband murdered your current husband?
she’s clearly all over the place and doesn’t want to see or be near him, not that you can blame her. it’s a lot to take in. a lot to process and i’m guessing that more than anything, she is finding herself re-evaluating everything she thought she knew about him, about the kind of person he is and what he is capable of.
