Harrow spent the entirety of GtN being like "I need to protect the tomb, I need to revive my house, the ninth house is all that matters." She even threatened to kill Gideon if she embarrassed her.

And then the second, the very second, she found out what being a lyctor meant, when she found out that the cost of everything she wanted was Gideon's life, she said "no." Gideon was more important.

In the end, all her threats were empty. It was always going to be Gideon.

I'm listening to the first two chapters of Gideon for like, the 7th time and the funniest thing is that while Harrow spent the whole night digging in bones, Gideon absolutely expected her to pull some bullshit like that and checked the landing floor three times - once with her boot and twice by sight and also the floodlights. It's just a constant game of cat and mouse between those two.

I am rereading Gideon and listen.

In chapter 4 harrow says "all you have to remember is that if you don't do what I say, I will mix bone marrow in with your breakfast and punch my way through your gut" and in harrow ||that's exactly what she does to Gideon the First.

Guys, guys. She was subconsciously remembering HER Gideon

The fact that my tiny demi daughter spent the entirety of HtN being like "ewww, sex, romance, kissing. Why would anyone marry their cavalier, that's gross!" And as soon as she remembered Gideon she was all like "well, yes, I suppose I InTeLlEcTuALlY understand Magnus and Abigail's marriage."

When Gideon and Harrow get together, Harrow would be the kind of partner who, when Gideon makes a bad pun would roll her eyes and be like "My god, Griddle, who even taught you to speak?"

But if anyone else ever says anything bad about Gideon or her jokes she'd be like, "Excuse me? She's charming and hilarious and you should be glad I even allow you to breathe the same air as her!"
