Embora, na realidade, aquela sua felicidade se devesse por conta da bebida; raramente deixava o álcool nublar seu juízo, mas desde que resolveu aproveitar aquela festa, estava fazendo de tudo para realmente curtir. Com um riso divertir, colocou o braço em volta dos ombros do harrowgate, a expressão brincalhona em sua face combinando com a voz leve: "You want a hug?" ainda debochou. Afternoon Tea in Harrowgate.

Mackron fanfic.

"I thought we could go to Harrowgate for afternoon tea at Betty's" said Mack "Aaron's gone to pick up some scrap and he won't be back until late"

"That's a good idea" said Lucy getting the vac out.

"What do you think you're doing" said Mack taking the vac off Lucy.

"Well the place needs doing before we go" said Lucy

"Well no way are you doing it" said Mack switching the hoover on. "Just you sit down and look beautiful"

"I'll give the kitchen and down stairs loo a good clean before we go. No way are you doing it" said Mack.

"I'm pregnant not useless" said Lucy

"I don't care you have to take it easy" said Mack leaning over the sofa where he plumped up the cushions for Lucy.

"Right time we left" said Mack after he finished the housework "If we get a move on we'll be just in time for afternoon tea"

Mack and Lucy arrived at Betty's and were shown to their seats.

"That was lovely Mack" said Lucy "You can't beat their afternoon tea"

"Should we go for a walk round the town if you're up for it" Mack asked.

"Of course I am" said Lucy as they left Betty's.

"Lucy!" cried Mack just as he caught her as she was about to fall.

"That was so stupid of me" said Lucy "I didn't see the steps"

"I'd never forgive myself if you fell" said Mack.

"I'm fine Mack let's just sit on that bench for a minute" said Lucy.

"Are you ok?" a little voice said.

"Yes thank you" Lucy said to the elderly lady sitting on the next bench. "I'm just a little shaken"

"Well I can see your young man thinks the world of you. Good job he was there to catch you" the lady said.

"Yes it was" said Lucy squeezing Mack hand.

"I tell you what. I'll go into Betty's and get them to bring you a cup of tea out shall I?" said the lady.

"That's very kind of you" said Lucy.

"There you are" said the waitress who brought two cups of tea out for Mack and Lucy.

"When's your baby due?" the old lady asked

"Around Christmas" Lucy replied.

"It's a little girl" said Mack proudly turning to look at Lucy who had started to cry "Oh Lucy don't cry" he said putting his arm round her.

"It's her hormones" said the lady "Now you make sure you give her lots of love and attention young man"

"I certainly will" said Mack drying Lucy's tears with a tissue.

"Right I'm going to take you and our precious baby home now" Mack said thanking the old lady for her kindness.

"Yes I am rather tired" said Lucy as Mack helped her up off the bench.

Mack and Lucy arrived home.

"Right" said Mack "You get comfy on the sofa and I'm going to make you an omelette for tea" said Mack lifting Lucy's feet up and putting them on the pouffe.

Mack was washing up the tea things when Aaron arrived home. "Would you like me to make you something to eat Aaron" he asked.

"No I'm fine thanks I've eaten" Aaron replied. "Is Lucy ok she's fallen asleep?"

Mack looked round at Lucy. "I must have worn her out we went to Harrowgate. She gave me a scare today Aaron she nearly fell down the steps in Betty's Tea Rooms. I just caught her in time" said Mack who was on the verge of tears.

"She looks all in" Aaron replied. "Oh come here Mack" said Aaron putting his arms round him "Don't cry"

"It really scared me Aaron" said Mack "I've got the hygiene inspection tomorrow and I have to be there. I feel awful leaving her"

"Mack stop worrying. I'm off tomorrow and you know I'll take good care of her" Aaron said to Mack giving him a hug.

"Thanks Aaron I don't know what I'd do without you" Mack said wiping his eyes.

"You know I'm always going to be here for you two Mack so try not to worry" said Aaron hoping he'd reassured Mack that he'd take good care of Lucy.

"Why don't you go to bed Mack and I'll stay down here until she wakes" Aaron said to Mack who was putting a blanket over Lucy.

"Thanks Aaron but I need to be here when she wakes" said Mack reaching out for Aarons hand "You know how much I love you don't you Aaron"

"Of course I do numpty" said Aaron giving Mack a friendly punch on the arm. "See you in the morning"
