Monsters!! (Day thirty of cringetober)
Harry Monster was one of my favorites, was sad when they stopped using him on the show. Jerry Nelson was and is my favorite muppet performer.
Story
This dessert recipe is a big hit especially with kids, and everyone else who has a sweet tooth. It´s called the hairy monster because of its texture. I learned it from my mother-in-law, who is of Syrian-Lebanese decent and always needs quick and easy desserts to feed the dozens of relatives and friends at meals and other gatherings. It takes about 10 minutes to make, and depending on the number of people, less than 5 to disappear.
Ingredients
6 nests of angel hair pasta
1 tablespoon of butter
1 can of sweetened condensed milk (395g)
1 tablespoon of powdered milk chocolate
Method
Crunch up the nests of angel hair pasta and put in a pot, add the butter, and on high flame, mix for about 1 minute. Switch the flame to low, and mix until it becomes light brown in color. Add the can of sweetened condensed milk and the powdered milk chocolate and mix slowly until the mixture starts unsticking from the bottom. When the mixture starts to unstick from all sides and the bottom, place the mixture on a dish and let cool (if you can keep the kids away). Cut into squares, and serve.
