Vice Chairman of the Republican National Committee Harry New (with a case of Chairmanship Ambitions) greets Vice President Fairbanks (with a case of Presidential Ambitions) in the GOP elephant's Winter Quarters.
The caption reads "The New Keeper - ‘Naw, I won't teach him no New tricks.’"
Fairbanks was the Vice President, and hoped to seek the presidential nomination in 1908.
