Can you do some headcanons for Finn and his s/o moving into their first house ( like in the future when Finn is much older) like shopping for furniture and stuff?
Firstly, this has been in my inbox for 3 years now and I am so so sorry it has taken me this long. At the time I had writers block and a lot of things came up following. It amazes me how I was around 14 when this was asked and I can finally answer it (at 17!)! It has been a while since I finished Peaky Blinders but I tried my best!
Finn has no idea what the domestic life is, he's utterly lost after you've stepped into the house
Continuous amounts of swearing at your indecisive choices on where the furniture is actually going
He doesn't mind though, he wants you to be happy in your new home
His favourite room is the bedroom (ofc) and puts the most effort into that
Insists he'll put the underwear in the drawers for you, despite your reassurance that you've got it handled
Your least favourite room is the kitchen, which is where you realised you two had barely anything from food to utensils
This is when you also discovered the man had no idea how to cook either, but you weren't surprised knowing Tommy had babied him most his life
Arthur probably crashed in at some point and gave you both a lecture on children and how to look after them
Now that you both have a home, Finn's brothers use you as babysitters, or, most of the time, just you
As soon as you both could, you spent most evenings dancing in the kitchen to whatever song was playing, and if there was no music, you'd hum
A solid zero smoking rule in the new house, too much time had gone into the masterpiece
This was followed by "Tommy fucking Shelby no bloody smoking!" Frequently, almost 4/5 times a week when he'd collect Finn
Another one of the most cherished things was spending the night together in peace and freedom. Being able to cuddle without the anxiety of the brothers walking in, or having sex without the interruption
Let's face it the sex was the most important part, Shelby's shag like rabbits
He would definitely come home and immediately check if you were safe and still there, and when he'd find you peacefully asleep, he'd place a gentle kiss on your head and thank the lord
If he went away for "business", he'd spend just a bit of time finding a souvenir. It would've been the first thing to pop into his mind
