I know I slacked mega hard on keeping the date updated so this may come as a total shock, but Christmas is this week! December 25th will hit us this Friday.

Event Update:

the fires were put out, leaving the labs and surrounding area destroyed

the studios were saved before they became unsalvageable, as were most of the lecture halls

the fire did not reach the library before it was extinguished, leaving only the hallway and entrance damaged 

seventeen students and one professor perished in the explosion and resulting fires, many others injured

the school will be closed until further notice

Richard: K-Kas there was an explosion at the school and I'm s-stuck in the library. The doors are blocked and the fire is spreading and- I'm so s-scared...

[stumbles her way out of the building, slurring out a plea for anyone close enough to hear her] Help... I need help...

Richard had been minding his own business in the library, trying to get some of his overdue work done when he heard a loud explosion and the whole room started shaking. Having no idea what was going on, he quickly ducked under the table even though he knew that if the building fell down the table would provide no protection. He let out a sigh of relief when the trembling stopped, thanking everything that came to mind for having survived with no injuries. 

He quickly got out from under the table and ran to the door, planning on getting out of there as quickly as possible. He turned the doorknob and pushed but the door wouldn’t budge no matter how much he tried. “This is not good”, he mumbled, starting to panic. He looked out from the small window on the door and cursed when he saw rock and debris blocking the door. His panic only increased when he saw the rapidly spreading fire, moving towards the library at a worrying pace. 

There was no way out.
