Surgery PSA
For those who haven't seen my previous message (https://cultofshiv.wtf/@SleepyCatten/111601296163996097), I'll be heading into hospital on 2023-12-27 for an attempted reversal of my proctosigmoidectomy (Hartmann's procedure).
I'm heading into hospital at 0900 and hoping to get into surgery by or around noon. The surgery itself should hopefully be done within about 3 hours.
I am a mixture of anxious and excited right now.
I will attempt to do an update post by the evening, if I'm able to, on my Mastodon account.
In the event of the unexpected worst-possible outcome, my wife will write a short post on my Mastodon account to notify everyone.
Yeah: I know it's incredibly unlikely, but both of us felt better planning for this possibility, just in case, rather than leaving everyone hanging and her not knowing what to do.
