Amuse Me - asuka / haruka (HELP ME IN STUCK IN RAREPAIR HELL)

“i messed up the solo, didn’t i?” haruka clutched her milkshake as if it would keep her grounded, and asuka simply leaned back in her chair, perpetual smirk glued to her face. 

“oh, i think that the rest of the band - and some strangers - would disagree.” 

“strangers?” 

“you didn’t see how the rikka girl was staring at you? i might have a rival for the title of ‘most gay awakenings caused,’ here!” haruka let out a scoff, cheeks turning red. 

“i’m sure that she was just watching the band,” she muttered. asuka wasn’t buying it. 

“you’re awfully pretty, haruka. ask her out, i’m sure that someone can get you her number. besides, you’ve been lonely for far too long, haven’t you?” haruka wasn’t sure if it was asuka’s over-the-top grandeur or the english far too long that did it, but she started laughing, and asuka warmly smiled for half a second before returning to her default grin. “you and kaori can’t keep on falling in love with me forever, can you?” 

“she’s a first-year.”

“oh.” 

“would you date oumae?” 

“i suppose not.” 

“there.” haruka pushed her chair back. “you’re too kind, asuka.” 

“ah, i think you’re getting me mixed up with yourself. i’d call myself cruel, really.” 

“i wouldn’t.” 

“what?”

“nothing.”
