I almost didn’t go ahead with this because very few people would get it, but it’s easily explainable: Zoisite’s line is from the 90s Russian dub (hence the vodka), that was how they censored the gay relationship. It’s SM LGBTQ+ Week and Pride Month, we should be talking about homophobic censorship. Russia seemed to be moving past this in the early 2000s, then censorship started creeping back in, and now look at the state of LGBTQ+ rights. Censorship of LGBTQ+ material is never in good faith, and we’re not past it.
My donation for finishing this went to Rainbow Railroad, which helps LGBTQ+ people fleeing persecution, including those fleeing Russia.
