     “ Well... By the look in your eyes, it doesn’t seem like you put it behind, ne? ” A tender smile bloomed on her lips, kindly reassuring the younger woman that nothing was wrong in feeling. Kushina was not there to jugde Sakura, much less when she could imagine the situation the other was going through. “ It seems like you don’t want to let things in past. Am I right? I mean you don’t need to confess anything but since we are talking about you and my son... ”

     The young couple have fought over few things, which led them to break up on the spur of the moment. Naruto barely ate in the last days and Sakura seemed to not be having the best time of her life by the exhaustion in her features. “ Maybe you two just need to sit and stop being stubborn and deny your feelings. Love is not easy, ‘ttebane! Mainly Naruto... He really doesn’t know how to treat a woman. Sorry for that. He tends to be a knucklehead like — ” like his mother. “ Ah — I think I might be at fault in this one. ” scratched the back of her head with a guilty smile. 

     “ Just... Allow him to talk to you, huh? I know the both of you can work this. I can see in you a lot of me, so I’d wish you could keep loving my son. ”

      “oh… thanks, you have a beautiful laugh too, Sakura!”

“At this point, you’ll have a hard time getting rid of me.”

“I’m still faster than you, you know,” she teased, aware that that couldn’t be farther from the truth, at least not at the moment, with her bearing two broken (albeit half-healed) ribs and depleted chakra reserves Sakura wouldn’t let her sleep after the concussion, though, so teasing it was.

“Can’t quite keep me here if you can’t catch m—” She clenched her jaw at a sudden surge of pain, regretting it right after. “Sorry.” Tensed muscles equaled more blood loss. Tenten wasn’t too worried about it (Sakura was the best medic in Konoha), but she’d rather have her blood inside her than outside.

“I mean it, though,” she said after a while, biting her lip. There was no way the Haruno would agree to that without a fight — or a battle of wills, in this case —, but it couldn’t be helped. “I need to be back to the village for the meeting.”

For something that defied the very laws of nature, what actually happened wasn’t actually all that exciting. Not for Sasori, anyway.

He’d been nothing. Then, he’d been something. Just like how one is unaware of the exact moment they fall asleep, Sasori’s consciousness just slipped into existence like water from a glass. He was sitting in an unfamiliar room, mostly naked except for the cloak he died in, and he was curiously calm about how this all went down despite all the presented evidence to not to be.

It just, he thought, felt right.

The room he was in was attached to an apartment, one that didn’t ring any bells. It wasn’t like any of the safe houses he had all over the Elemental Nations, nor was it one of the damp residences he had in Ame. It definitely wasn’t Suna either, the architecture was all wrong. It was... womanly, if he had to pick a word. Homey. A place someone lived in.

Sasori was in the middle of exploring what looked like a living room when the front door opened. He looked up, saw a flash of bright, bright pink, and ah, yes, he knew where he was now.

“Sakura-san,” he said as a greeting, quite pleasant. And in a way he thought was rather helpful, he added, “You aren’t watering your plants correctly.”

“Sometimes I do what I want to do. The rest of the time, I do what I have to.”

“Sounds tiresome,” Sasori drawled, peering at her from under his eyelashes. His tone was bored but that was a facade - all of his attention was on her. He’d escaped resealing of all those who were revived by the Edo Tensei, but his escape had not been so final. Though he’d slipped free from the death god’s hands, he’d been captured by Konohagakure.

“Is this one of those moments?” he asked. “What you have to do in the name of duty? Or -” he said consideringly, head tilted, “- is this what you want to do - for revenge?”

Being brought back had stripped him of all his personal alterations. His limbs were flesh, his skin and teeth and bones were solid. He was in the body he would have been in if he hadn’t gone through his transformation. It was... annoying.

“You know what they’ll do to me,” he continued. “I’ll be tortured. I’ll die.”

The sensation of the switch was like having his soul torn out of his body piece by piece. It was excruciating, even though the pain was only mental, and Sasori, who’d nearly forgotten the feeling of pain, doubled over and threw up whatever Haruno Sakura ate that day. He fell to his - her? - knees, choking, breathing hard, his - her? - heart battering his chest so furiously that he was sure it was gong to explode.

What had she done? Or was it that hag? He’d heard of mind-swap techniques, but there was no one around, no Yamanakas who could have done something like this...

He clenched his eyes shut, shuddering at the unnatural feeling, and thrust his hand out to regain control of the Third. But this body, this girl, felt all wrong, like a wrong-sized shoe but so much worse. He heaved again but only yellow bile came out.

      Ser chamado pela Hokage era algo que o jonnin tinha de se acostumar depois da última guerra que teve, todos aqueles acontecimentos fizeram o ninja copiador se acostumar a ficar com o tempo de folga que tinha antes de voltar as suas tarefas pra fazer sua vila mais segura do que o normal. De uma coisa Kakashi tinha razão, a missão que Tsunade tinha lhe dado poderia ser feito sozinho, mas ele tinha alguém em mente pra fazer companhia pra si, alguém que não via há bons meses. 

      Kakashi ainda se lembrava de onde a pessoa em sua mente morava, tanto que não teve tanta pressa assim pra chegar até lá há ponto de fazer uma visita surpresa. O mesmo saltou até a sacada do quarto e deu três batidas leves no vidro.

      “Sakura, está acordada?” perguntou, dando mais algumas batidas. “Se estiver, eu vou precisar de sua ajuda.”
