Hey guys. So I’m finishing up pathologic 2, and starting to do some research into characterization, figuring out the kind of characterization people like to see so I can hopefully do some writing soon.

And I just have to ask. Is Artemy’s route in the first game, like, significantly more murder-y? I’m not planning on going into the first game unspoiled so spoil away btw.

But I’m wondering because I’m very much playing a risk-avoidant, self-defence based playthrough right now(some may call it bit cowardly). I can probably count on one hand the amount of people I’ve killed and all of them were a direct threat to me. Like, no doubt you can choose murder more often but it doesn’t seem that helpful a decision to me.

Are we just one of those fandoms trapped in an endless cycle of not agreeing on characterization because it’s different between games? Cuz that kinda sucks.

I've seen most people say the haruspex route is the hardest one in pathologic classic but that's not even close to the truth. Nothing the haruspex goes through is as hard as having to find your evil sister while dodging plague clouds . at least I had fun fighting people as artemy and the reputation/infection level wasn't a problem past day 1😭

y’all i’m on day 4/5 of the haruspex route. what the ACTUAL FUCK.

everything jUst got better and into a nice rhythm and then i leave the warehouse and get dEstRoYed by like 4 guys who spawn right in my face??!?!??? and then i wake up ON THE NEXT DAY (i had plans for the rest of the day btw, it was only like 10 am) in a PRISON CELL and 3 PLAGUE CLOUDS SHOOT AT ME!?!?!?!?

So I finished my first day on the Haruspex route in classic in Stillwater. But I had forgotten that I was no longer Daniil and I should probably head to the Lump to sleep. Instead I went to sleep in Stilwater. “Cool, thanks for clearing my name Bachelor, anyway I guess we’re gonna have to share a bed since Eva only has one guest room.”

So if you shippers need a “there was only one bed” premise.
