Olivier was really questioning his own actions right about now.
He couldn’t believe of all the people he’d ended up here with, it was Hasan. The flash lights of Circa Embankment on a Saturday night were well raved about, and it hadn’t taken long for Olivier to find out where he’d find his brother.
A gay bar, none the less.
However, his reasoning for being here was the complete opposite of Thomas. He was here to see what he was up too, spy if you will. There’d been some talk of the things he’d been up to and as much as Olivier tried to shut it out. He had to know. He couldn’t involve the French, he knew that much. Would they worry about him rebelling? Question why he was around him? He didn’t want them questioning his loyalty when he was so close to potentially making something of himself in the coming years.
No. He wouldn’t do that. So he turned to the only man he could think of.

The place alone had a vibe that sometimes made her skin want to crawl. Not because of the people, per say. Not all were bad. But the French and Russian’s had used this as the ground for war. The neighborhood was plagued by the dark shadows of a brewing war that she believed was in it’s early days. This chaos was the calm before the storm, and she was sure none of them were prepared for what was coming.. Nervousness gnawed at her gut as she adjusted her coat collar, attempting to shield herself from both the chilly wind. The recent events had left her shaken.
Amélie had uncovered unsettling truths about the escalating conflict between rival factions, but it wasn’t enough. In reality, it was nothing but hearsey. Her relentless pursuit might one day get her in trouble, she was aware, but sometimes those who sat and did nothing would never gain anything. Her last informant had vanished without a trace after issuing a chilling threat, leaving her wary of trusting anyone new.
Yet here she was.
However, someone caught her eye almost instantly.

Melissa made her way through the dimly lit bar. The familiar scent of smoke and aged whiskey hung in the air while candles flickered from their centre pieces; it was a nice place, and one that she usually brought her clients. Approaching the booth nestled in the corner, steps confident, a testament to the power and influence she held in her dual roles. On one side, she was Melissa Lin, a highly regarded corporate lawyer, respected for her legal acumen and renowned for her unwavering loyalty to the Rutherford family. On the other side, she was known as the enigmatic figure, second in command of the Rutherford organization, a formidable mob that operated in the shadows, ruling the city with an iron fist.
They had their hands in everything.
Tonight, Melissa's purpose was to meet Hasan, and even she couldn’t deny that she’d been looking forward to it, as she slipped into her spot and waited for her usual to arrive, which they already knew. This particular meeting concerned a delicate business arrangement, but one she hadn’t yet presented to him. The Rutherfords were known for their shrewd negotiations and ruthless tactics, but tonight, Melissa had been tasked with ensuring a peaceful agreement, devoid of bloodshed.
It was for her own benefit.

Melissa gazed up at Hasan with a fierce glare. Her eyes burned fiery, daring him to challenge her as she stepped into his personal space. ‘’Have a good time, Hasan?’’ she purred with a feline grin spreading across her lips. She loved to play games, and he’d openly placed himself in her line of fire earlier that evening.
