Much easier had she found anything else to steer her elsewhere â isla might have known it nigh impossible, yet she'd swear she tried. nevertheless the gravitational pull was inevitable, "didn't think you'd be here this year â hard to follow up a date with the bosses wife.." As if she hadn't remembered the serpents coil that had constricted in her chest a year before hand.
Olivier turned the second he heard her voice. As always, captivating wasn't the perfect word...it was beyond that. Always had been since the moment he'd seen Isla walking down the stairs behind the club. Cigarette in hand, bathed by the dingy lights of the alleyway. And yet...an angel had appeared.
What a first encounter...this one far differed.
"This man is hoping for a date that doesn't feel like best behaviour is in order." Though, he watched Isla...and wondered where her mind might be leaning tonight. If they'd end up together, or on dangerous territory. "Be safe...no matter what your choice is tonight..." it came out before he could stop himself. But he didn't care.

olivier: i'm always lonely, i'm a co-parenting father with my ex missues, who i told the day that i left, that i didn't love her. And somehow managed to get her pregnant six years later. :) olivier: i also became a workaholic. olivier: i am ALWAYS lonely. olivier: help a brother out.
Nadezhda was exactly where she intended to be, regardless of what the French believed. âDa. Is that what you think?â Her tone was calm, almost polite, as she regarded him from where she leaned against the wall, composed and steady.
Rutherford territory meant little to her. She had stood in far more dangerous places.
"Think?â he tried his hardest not to snort, or show signs of disrespect. Not in the presence of Nadezhda. Olivier could hold his own, but even he had limits. And that motherfucker was crazy. "No. I know. Bad place to be right now."
A second ticked by, as did his jaw. "I'm the insane one for being here." It was as much as a compliment as he'd offer her. Because the hatred, it ran deep. It whipped through his veins, reminding him that his brother...

"I'd like to arrange a meeting with you...privately, if possible." Olivier had finally plucked up the courage to ask her for what he'd been waiting months to finally do. His eyes slid to the driver, he didn't want his personal life, and goals being aired to those who didn't need to know. "When possible, please, Delphine." he knew she was a busy woman because Olivier was with her all the freaking time.
But he'd been putting this off for too long. He had to have the balls to take the steps. He was nervous. Scared? Maybe a little.
She arched a brow over the rim of her glass, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. "Three months away and youâre already rewriting history," she said lightly, setting the drink down. "Donât flatter yourself too muchâ Iâve just forgotten how annoying you are." A pause, softer this time. "Though⌠I guess itâs kind of nice having someone to argue with again."
"Ah, fuckin' hell -- there it is," though, the smirk couldn't be taken away from his lips. "The closest thing Iâll ever get to a compliment outta you." his head cantering to the side. "Iâve been called worse things by better people."
He was, of course, joking.
"Didnât think Iâd miss this-- arguin' that is," he admitted, leaning back in the chair as his eyes narrowed towards OphĂŠlie in a playful manner. "The noise, back n' forth. You repremanding me for being a dick...y'know you love it..." his lips pulled into a grin.
Oh, he had missed this too.
"Guess thatâs proof how quick the last few months have gone. Man, you should see my daughter -- gettin' bigger every bloody second. Makes a man god damn sentimental." his brows furrowed. "Don't tell Yves I said that, yeah? Heâd never let me live it down."
This time...he wasn't joking.
Yvonne: I'll ignore the fact that you're more concerned by my ex than my husband. Yvonne: Was there something you wanted? Or were you just letting the intrusive thoughts win?
Olivier: i've seen thĂŠo truly pissed off. Olivier: I prefer breathing. Olivier: FĂŠlix? Eh. Olivier: the intrusive thoughts, however, are undefeated. Olivier: but if I said I just wanted to hear from you, thatâd sound smooth enough to forgive me, right? đ
Yvonne: Didn't any ever teach you not to flirt with married women? Yvonne: I'll forget you by Wednesday.
Olivier: they did. Olivier: I just wasnât a very good student. đ Olivier: I'm teasing. I really don't want ThĂŠo to kill me... Olivier: bold of you to assume I wasnât aiming for Tuesday night. đ
Yvonne: Are you dying?
olivier: emotionally? always. olivier: physically? probably by Tuesday. olivier: why, you gonna miss me? đ
