☾ - sleep headcanon: Optimus has to plug in for recharge; he doesn't sleep very well on his own. His mind's constantly busy and running and thinking of all the horrible shit war's done to him and his loved ones. Before he sleeps, he likes to listen to something rhythmic. Like a heart beat. And slowly, slowly...

★ - sad headcanon: Optimus's entire life is endless sadness. But: as Optimus frees himself and kills Lockdown... it's too late. Lockdown killed Cade before he could save him. Tessa meets up with him, and in her misery and sorrow, sobbing, she yells at Optimus, demanding why he couldn't save her dad--after all her dad did for him, after all those risks he--they--took to protect and fight for him, and he couldn't even protect one measly human? And Tessa is just screaming and bawling and Shane is holding her and he looks up at Optimus with this "sorry, man, you know she doesn't mean any of it" kind of pitiful-apologetic look.

Optimus remains fairly speechless for a while.

☆ - happy headcanon: Oh, hey, Lockdown was safekeeping the sparks of Optimus's fallen comrades he killed. Using Transformium or whatever they called it--the melted/chiseled down remains of the Transformers--Joshua helps rebuild their bodies, putting the sparks in them. Optimus has gained back a number of friends.

☠ - angry/violent headcanon: WELL ALL THINGS CONSIDERED... He's got every right to be angry and violent.

✿ - Sex headcanon: NO SEXUAL HEADCANON FOR OP maybe as Orion he had a short relationship with Elita. Maybe they started getting hot and heavy before--welp. The relationship is a little shattered, however; in Reign of Starscream, Starscream sacrifices Elita for something or other, and later in the comics, she's part of the program that splices Arcee into three people. They aren't really sure if they can go back to what they had--so much has changed, and not for the good. Optimus and Elita may have slowly rekindled that flame if, you know, she hadn't died with Arcee and Chromia.

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon: Optimus has very bare living quarters. He might only have photos of his old friends. He has a very small picture of Mikaela and Sam giving him a wash. Mikaela is pouring the bucket of soapy water over Sam's head. Bumblebee took the photo.

♡ - romantic headcanon: See Elita above. But when they were together, pre-war, it was kind of shy and slow. They were both kinda dorky and clumsy. But as they grew closer, it was clear a deep bond was going to be forged. They could spend hours together in silence, simply enjoying each others company and energy. They never got to see the true potential of that bond.

♥ - family headcanon: Megatron is Optimus's brother, yes. Sentinel Prime was like his father figure.

☮ - friendship headcanon: Optimus's oldest friend was Ironhide. Second was Ratchet. Sam and Mikaela were the humans he was most close to. When he meets Cade, it's hard warming up to him--he still misses his old friends, and regrets all the shit they had been put through in order to help the Autobots.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon: Optimus doesn't have many hobbies or quirks. He likes going for long drives. He searches for Autobots and Decepticons alike, but sometimes he just drives and tries to relax. It's honestly really hard to clear his head. He might sit and watch something with Bumblebee and the others, but usually spends his free time alone and making sure things stay in order.

☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon: Optimus likes hearing about human stories and mythology. Beyond that, lol, see above. Optimus dislikes the war at its core--his hatred for everything that has happened is stronger than his hatred and disappointment in Megatron, the Decepticons, etc.

▼ - childhood headcanon: Orion Pax was an explorer who helped on scientific expeditions. He did mostly manual labor but helped Megatron out here and there. He met Ratchet through Megatron.

∇ -. old age/aging headcanon: Optimus dies resting peacefully after the war is won and over. haha, jk, he dies in one final battle that ends the war.

♒ - cooking/food headcanon: Consumes regular energon and fuel. Tried a few human dishes. They include: a bit of Lennox's PB&J sandwich Annabelle made him for lunch, and burnt cookies made by Judy Witwicky. Former was sticky and a little slimy, latter was... bad. But Sam told Judy he loved him, because Judy wouldn't let it go if he told her the truth.

☼ - appearance headcanon: Holo Optimus is tall, muscular, tan, lots of battle scars, blue eyes, dark hair (maybe auburn?); possible goatee. Crow's feet and wrinkles. Physically, he looks in his mid-forties, early fifties.

ൠ - random headcanon: Optimus likes to watch humans having fun, like partying or just having a picnic. It helps remind him why he's fighting to protect these people.

Why does Optimus have flames? He wasn't big on them, but Bumblebee and Jazz said they looked awesome, so he kept them.

☾ - sleep headcanon

Usually on his stomach because side is just impossible and he's got that kibble on his back. So stomach it is. He looks like he's planking. Sometimes he may sleep in his alt mode because that's easier, too. Laugh all you want, at least he's a doctor and not someone who went through Empurata OOOOOH. Also, sometimes he yells and curses in his sleep.

★ - sad headcanon

Canon is already sad enough, but... My headcanon for him is vast, so to trim the fat: Ambulon lost all his teammates, and is the only one left. I have other headcanons re: his teammates but that's pretty sad.

☆ - happy headcanon

He actually survived that bullshit with Pharma and went on to kick ass and shit. I would not even be that bothered if he took control of Pharma's stupid body and came back.

☠ - angry/violent headcanon

Ambulon was never the violent type. He really wasn't. But he can seriously kick ass, and do so swiftly. It's like he turns his emotions off when he goes into fight mode--but truth is, he does not like to fight and will offer mercy.

✿ - Sex headcanon

I like Ambulon as either asexual/aromantic or just awkward with sex or just rarely EVER falling in love. He doesn't get aroused much, and when he does, it's usually with one person. Maybe he's demisexual fuck who knows.

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

He had very plain living quarters; at Delphi, and on the LL. He had like no personal items. Maybe he had a couple books, but beyond that, he's just very plain. It's kind of sad.

♡ - romantic headcanon

Awkward when expressing romance and love; he's not very good at flirting and whatnot. He's not entirely comfortable with it, either. It's just... not something he's really used to.

♥ - family headcanon

Shortly after the experiment and running away, Ambulon's fucked up system caused an ancient budding process, resulting in itty bitty Squall.

☮ - friendship headcanon

Ambulon doesn't have many friends, and that's okay. Sometimes he's a bit too stoic and blunt with his friends, but really, if he gets close, he can be a very funny, dorky little guy.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

Ambulon doesn't really have any hobbies. He's honestly just... He just doesn't have much of a personal life. As for quirks--I like to pretend that the experiment fucked up his systems, but he managed to get better. However, he still has phantom pains--this includes an almost numb stressful tingling on his dermal plating that makes paint and shit hard to stick.

Likes: helping people, being a doctor, doing what he can, being badass. Dislikes: racist assholes, his stupid problems with keeping good paint on, undercooked pasta.

In "Steps," Ambulon was sent to work as a field medic in a mining facility underground fresh off the assembly line. There's so much more to follow, but basically he was born as a medic and had a shitty life back then, too.

Sentinel seems like a heavy sleeper. Sometimes he is, but only if he is super duper 100% comfortable. By that I mean--he always sleeps with one eye open. Like, not literally, though you know, Transformers, but I'm saying... Sentinel is always prepared to knife someone trying to pull some assassination attempt bullshit. He is ashamed to admit that once he fell into a real deep sleep around Proteus because as much as he loves dickin' that dude and shit, he does not trust Proteus that much either. So it was very shameful. Proteus was a dick about it, just like everything else.

★ - sad headcanon

Sentinel legitimately fell in love with Proteus and it pISSED HIM OFF. And then he died.

☆ - happy headcanon

Sentinel and Proteus havin' the gay sex in robot Hell. On serious note: hunting down pre-Decepticon rebels and watching them suffer with his boyf.

☠ - angry/violent headcanon

Well... Sentinel rarely gets angry. He's always so serious and stony and looks like a noble knight, despite... not being close to noble at all. But he's usually good at controlling his emotions--at least, his anger. There is no denying the glee he gets over being powerful and curb-stomping people.

Only has bedroom eye lust for Proteus. Beyond that, 100% asexual/aromantic.

Sentinel has a very nice, big set-up; it's all tidy and organized. It's just very nice and regal and screams "shit I'm impressive and powerful." It's not nearly as flashy as Proteus's, though, but he's got a lot of ye olde weapons and armor and related collector pieces up on display.

♡ - romantic headcanon

I actually do ship Protinel romantically. Mutual lust for power. The World Is Not Enough by Garbage summed up in a pair.

For shits and giggles, Orion Pax is somehow related to Sentinel like somewhere down the line idk. Sentinel appreciates his gang of henchmen and treats them well.
