I’m thinking that maybe I need to wash my hat because leaving it on a surface that’s got paper on it leads to grease stains showing up on the paper. (I’ve had it for either almost or just over a year and haven’t ever washed it, unlike the rest of my laundry that gets washed very regularly I’m not gross!!!) Problem is I don’t really know how to safely wash it. Anyone got any tips? It looks like this:
I don’t know what it’s made of since I cut the tags off soon after getting it, but it feels like cotton or a cottony material for the exterior and a silky-feeling (but not actually silk, I’m not made of money) interior. It’s very floppy, so not having a hat-washing frame will probably not be a detriment. All I know is that I’d take off the pins, because I experienced first-hand many years ago what happens if you leave pins on your laundry. :P I plan to paint the brim with fabric paint soon and it’d probably be a good idea to wash it before then. If all else fails, I can prolly throw it in with the easy care stuff so it’s somewhat safe, right?
