hannah, darlin', im so sorry. you didn't deserve to be treated the way you were when i was your mother. lex, you too.
life was hard for me after your dad left, then there was the accident, then one thing led to another and next thing i knew i was in a women's prison for dealin' and i was dyin' of lung cancer and i hadn't seen either of you in 30-some years.
you two deserved a much, much better mother than me, and i hope that you both made it to California.
