it's genuinely so upsetting how like. people have to come up with ways to make things "worth it" for other people to care abt issues that hurt people who aren't them . "feminism benefits everyone not just women!!" "this person got deported even tho they were actually a white american, ice hurts all of us" "you could make more money by not cutting down forests than if you do" what if we could just care abt things that don't directly affect us . what then !!!!!!!!
#reading the story of stuff by annie leonard (highly recommend btw) & she's talking abt how#environmentalists are doing things like in the last example to show how much money ppl could make by Not destroying the planet#and it's just so sad that like . we have to beg people to care . they don't give a fuck unless it affects their profits. god#hate it here!!!!!
