I want Lara back. She was the first friend I made on Tumblr and always liked and commented my posts and was always so kind. I considered her a real friend, especially because I really don’t have any real friends, or friends in general. She was someone I felt like I could really trust, someone online that was genuinely who they said they were.
Our little circle (i’m not sure if you all considered me part of the group, but I felt like this was our “friend group” in a way, @harrystyleslover212-deactivated, @jordanlovesonedirection, @sleepinourtears, @mattsdivaa, @sturncoast, @mattsleftball, and @devotedlyteenagemusic (i hope i got you all!) mean(s/t) so much to me and I felt like I found a true online group of nice people.
Lara was like an older sister to me. She always had advice, but I’d give her advice when needed. We shared a lot of interests and hobbies and genuinely connected. I was always so excited to come home from school and check to see if she messaged me or posted. Her themes were soooo pretty, and she always made sure I felt like I was included in her posts.
I was so, so excited and happy for her when she got engaged, I remember squealing and texting my best friend, smiling, because I had told her that one of my best online friends was going to get engaged sooner than later. I really, really hope she decides to come back, (I apologize, I’m not really sure how deactivating works) but if she doesn’t, I hope she always remembers the times we had together, and I hope some day I’ll meet her in real life, since we don’t live too far away.
I, like Lara and others have stated, have no hate towards Star. I never really interacted with her, but from what I saw, she seemed like a nice person, but I understand where Lara was coming from with safety concerns and all that. She is allowed to have her own feelings and if she felt unsafe, she had every right to take the necessary precautions to keep herself safe.
Again, I am NOT hating on anybody, I hate how the anons have been targeting our group, especially Lara before she deactivated, because she explicitly stated she had no bad feelings towards Star, it was a safety thing. I miss Lara. I want her back. If any of my little circle has any info on a way I could contact Lara, I’d really appreciate it, so message me. If not, thanks anyway, I’d like to get to know you guys and your fandom better!
Last, I want to say this to whoever sees it. If you feel unsafe, on any platform, no matter your age, religion, gender, whatever, please take the necessary precautions to keep yourself safe. Whether that’s blocking and reporting, making a new account, or avoiding the issue, stay safe. This goes for everyone, no matter how old or young you are. The world we live in can be dangerous.
