I have had several people brooch the subject of women equality with me. And this issue like every thing vs thing issue drives me nuts! I can't stand one sided thinking, so yeah you want a right to show your midriff with out being gazes at by a man or being worried about being assaulted, power to you. Here is what drives me bat shit crazy, what about men rights? You say you want to be safe to where what you want when you want it, but what about men? Do you women even realize in today's day they face the same amount of issues? And often the EXACT same issue, for instance did you know 40% of domestic abuse cases are men being abused by women?? And that number doesn't even take into account the ones who won't report it. I know women don't report either sometimes but you see that's my problem! It's both! Women do not have the monopoly on being hurt, raped, cat called or lusted after. I know personally a few men who have been raped or molested and know of many more. And as far as not wanting a man to look at you with lust? Well let's look at what lust is? It's to look at someone in a sexual manner, I do believe in controlling these urges but you can say good by human race with out sexual attraction. In my opinion, we should raise our little girls and our little boys to respect either other and everyone and everything around them, and that's that. As a women, ask your self have you or anyone you know lusted after a man, real or fiction, How about cat called? Fantasizes? Been distracted by his happy trail peeking out from his pant line when he has his shirt off? Women are just as much pigs as men, we are just more sneaky. Yeah people get hurt and that sucks, I my self, my mother and my sisters have been hurt, we've been touched, called names called fat, I personally was called a whore at 14 for where a swimsuit, by both a man an a women neither was more wrong that the other BOTH sucked. I have been molested by both a man and a women. Sure fight for what you believe in, but think about both sides before you do. Cause I certainly don't turn a blind eye to a shirtless man, and nor do I want to. Yes respect each other people need better manners, but realize that the rules in school and work that say we can't where short ass showing skirts and boob popping shirt cause it distract boys, also don't let men walk around shirtless, or in short ass showing shorts. If your going to fight for equal rights I better see allowing men to come to work or school shirtless in your speeches and proposals
